"Extremely authentic cuisine (he's an internationally trained chef I believe). If you are after glitz and out to impress on your first date, forget this little place. But if you are after top quality North Indian cuisine, then this place has (on the night we visited) the BEST Indian in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Fresh herbs ensured that no after stomach burn, so often the result of cheap spices. My wife and I eat out regularly, mainly Indian cuisine. The spinach pakoras were fantastic so were the curries. The only thing they slipped up on was that they added gee or butter to the naan after we asked for it dry but we wore that. Also naan bread was a bit flat as we prefer it puffy. Otherwise all else and the nice polite waitress was a bonus. The place is small and atmosphere unappealing, but worth it. I'd say perfect for take away."
