"I just ate in this restaurant. they had some vegan choices, but none of them was marked. in fact, no allergens were marked separately. the tables were all shabby formica that was not deleted and the whole place was really drab. that was eating and it was okay, but I wouldn't go back there."

"I have been coming here on and off for around 5 years but haven’t visited recently. Decided to try one evening with a friend, and to put it simply the food is out of this world. The menu is simple and delicious, true Pakistani food done well. A bonus is the prices are very reasonable. There is a small seating area and they always have a decent trickle of customers coming. Please give it a try you will not be disappointed, one of my favourite places in Cardiff."

"Having read the reviews was expecting more. The menu is somewhat different than your usual curry house offering. A great selection of fish dishes but none of the traditional dishes you would expect. The starter of beef chilli fry was small but nevertheless full of flavour as was the lamb trio. We had a basket of poppadoms which came with the tiniest spoon size dishes of dips costing £3.95. The lamb shank was also a small portion served in a bowl of curry sauce. The tandoori salmon was the easily the best dish both in quantity and flavour. The restaurant was extremely quiet and the service was slow. I was surprised to see that a 10% service card had been added to the bill automatically. Had I noticed that at the time I would not have paid it."

"Not much to say: the original and still the best vegetarian Indian eat around. we have now come into service three times and can compare the real world with the restaurants – and this applies to their origin."

"I took my family there for lunch after a trip to the cinema. Weekday lunch buffet is great value, and the food gets better each time I come (admittedly only 2 3 times per year . The decor is pretty scruffy but everything is clean. There is a noodle wok station where the chef will make you a noodle stirfry. My wife and kids said it was good, but I didn’t try it because I know how good the currys are. A selection of about 8 dishes, around half vegetarian, all taste really good (that I tried ! Quality not quantity! If you want tikka masala or jalfrezi you will be disappointed, this is not a normal British Indian buffet. There was chicken korma, which I didn’t try, because of how mild and sweet they normally are at British restaurants. There was also chicken makhani, chicken curry, a dhal, paneer, aloo gobi, plain rice, and pilau rice cooked with chicken on the bone. Naan was cooked to order by the same chef doing the stir fry. There was a tasty sambal (soup , and a nice home made hot spicy tomato sauce, which I used to dip chicken pakora and onion baaji in. I don’t even know if that’s what it was for but worked for me. I don’t do desserts, but there was a good choice including rice pudding with nuts (pistachios and cashew? and spice (cardamom? which my wife loved, and ice cream which kept my 4 year old happy. A selection of little cake and sweet things too, looked really good but not my bag. It isn’t only Indian food here but that is the biggest and best part for me. I bet this is closer to real Indian food than 95% of restaurants and takeaways in Cardiff. Can’t wait to come back, but don’t eat out so much since we had kids and moved further out of town."
