"The food at Sitar is always tasty and the service is great. I have always been surprised by the number of people that dine here or order takeaway. It seems to be a very popular choice among the locals. The naan bread is better at Sultan's Kitchen, across the road, but the atmosphere (including pavement tables) is the drawcard."

"I had a fantastic curry here last Tuesday. There were four vegetarian curries and about six meat curries. I chose two of the veggie curries with rice. When I saw the large pile of rice going onto my plate I felt disappointed because I was sure that meant a smaller serving of curry. I was wrong. The curry was also piled on creating a huge plate. The vegetable curry had a lot of eggplant and was a little oily but tasted delicious. The paneer curry had a very red colour and I'm not sure what this was from as there was nothing in there that was red. I would have liked this more if it were a palak paneer with the natural spinach curry colouring. The taste was fine and there was plenty of nice paneer, a little harder than other paneer I've had but it went nicely with the robust sauce. The rice was a good, the service fast and the eating area here is okay for a food court style place."

"Extremely bad quality Indian food. Lamb was hard as boots and floating in oil and our chicken dish was blanching. I think the poppadome were sitting around for days. not somewhere we will go back, very disappointing."

"I will be totally honest. I didnt even get as far as ordering. My family and I sat down next to the buffet... where it was three very empty buffet trays of hard crusty curry that looked like it had been there forever. The staff...werent friendly in greeting us and the smell of old curry was awful. When I realised the buffet was our dinner option we left. Would never step foot in there or order off uber eats again. That food had been sitting out cold and crusty for too long... rank"

"Scherhazade is ok for a Friday takeaway if you're not expecting anything earth-shatteringly amazing. The naans are nice and fluffy, but the mains are not particularly inspiring or seasoned well. We used to be regulars however standards have started declining and we're finding more and more gristle and fatty meat. Not sure we'll be back again."

"I ordered online with menulog the first time, and was a little surprised at the interior - it is a bit dated and not that attractive for a sit-down meal, but ignore that and pay attention to the food. Every meal I have has is full of flavour and simply delicious. We have trried many indian restaurants in Brisbane, but this one is part of the top 2 - with the rest trailing well behind afterwards.Yummo!!!!"
