"I enjoyed a dinner meal with a friend visiting from up north. We chose this restaurant as it was near their accommodation. The location is nice, near the Boradwater but lacking good water views due to the light rail the highway. we both enjoyed...the experience but the food quality was only average. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. It's not however on my must go back list."

"I recently visited with family Firstly there wasn’t any covid scan codes or book to sign when we asked they didn’t seem to be interested which made us a little uneasy. The food was average with a star price . We ordered straight away...but waited for almost an hour for the food to come, we all had the bbq option so no food needed to be cooked by the staff. At first we thought we had been forgotten as the two tables near by had their food way before us and they arrived mins after us. We kept asking and they were apologetic but this did not speed the service up. We eventually got our raw food to cook just as the two tables near by were finishing their cooked food. (Both tables were occupied with Korean families) When went to pay the bill had many different things that we didn’t order and was more than it should be.I challenged this and there was lots of discussion with the staff in Korean and the manager shrugged her shoulders and adjusted the bill. They took my card off me to tap as the machine was in the far corner. When I got home I had an alert off my bank (if I spend more than in one place) When i looked i had two lots of payments taken off my card , the first amount which was wrong bill then the corrected bill. I rung straight away and explained, any they deposited the amount eventually. I was unimpressed with the food and service considering we spent on a couple with a young child who only ate the boiled rice as the meat was too tough for him. I wouldn’t go back here again nor recommend it to friends, there is a lot of great Korean bbqs in Southport unfortunate for us they were either fully booked when we phoned or were closed due to being a public holiday , hence we ended up in this place."

"The amount of meat served was totally different from the photo on the menu. When we complained to the manager, she admited the photos would not always match the food served and did not do anything to make up for it. WTF!!!"

"My partner and I came here one night as the place seemed kind of full with very few seats left so we thought the food must taste good, we approached the waiter and asked for a table for 2 and he said there is about a 30 minute wait for food as they are busy and we said that was fine as 30 minutes isn’t too long, once we agreed the waiter corrected himself and said maybe not 30 more like 40 – 50 minutes, so we said that was rather long so probably not and left. A couple nights later we returned again and came early around 6pm to make sure there wouldn’t be a long wait again, there were only 2 other tables so we thought perfect. We took a seat inside near the left window and were brought out our menus and table water. We noticed they had a specials board so thought we’d try something on there. When ordering we were told that the oyster shots we had ordered from the specials board was sold out for the day, so that was a little disappointing, perhaps they could’ve removed anything that wasn’t available from their specials board. We ordered pickles which came out first and to our surprise the taste was really unpleasant, we were hoping for something a little tangy and spicy similar to kimchi but were given something that smelt like drain water and tasted worse so we left the pickles untouched for the rest of the evening.. Next the edamame were brought out my partner enjoyed these very much. Our salmon sashimi slices were very tasty and fresh. Lastly our vegetable tempura which was nice but dipping sauce tasted watered down and rather bland so we kept soaking the entire tempura piece under the dipping sauce. All in all it was a great find, we would definitely consider returning however will remember not to order the pickles ever again."

"I lived in Australia and I didn't eat much raw fish, but when I went there because I could eat sashimi don in ecstasy, the amount was large and it was delicious. Now I'm a regular. It's very kind and friendly, so it's very nice ♡ If you miss Japanese food, please come and join us! !! !!"
