"Best buckwheat pancakes in town! Plenty of vegan options too. Shakes are great (usually ask for extra chocolate as the normal isn't chocolatey enough for my buds). Been going for years have had nothing but great food great service. Love sitting out in the little outdoor area in summer too to enjoy the delicious food"

"Like Milo, Lazy Susan’s were something I had never heard of, despite being in Australia for almost seven years, until very recently (purchased one soon after). So we went to the Standard for their Lazy Sunday/Lazy Susan. A roast lamb on the day and my...word, at $50 it could have fed 6! Bit fatty for me, but that’s lamb. Cool venue, on Roe Street, and service was great. Friendly and enthusiastic. Our baby kicked off after about 30 minutes, so had to leave. First lunch we weren’t able to enjoy in his company, he gets a 1/5."

"Looking for lunch in Northbridge this week we ended up in James Street at Thailicious – quite a large restaurant, including al fresco seating out on the footpath – with an extensive menu covering off most of what we have come to expect of Thai places around town.It is licenced, although the list is pretty basic and limited – a bottle of Fifth Leg Sauvignon Blanc Semillon hit the spot anyway, but it would be nice to see rosé or Riesling among the offerings, both of which suit themselves well to spicy food. The wine has passionfruit and stone fruit aromas, with a zesty citrus flavoured palate; crisp and punchy.We decided on that old reliable – fish cakes for a starter, and pretty good examples they were – crispy skinned, spongy and moist inside, good blend of minced seafood and Thai spices – and a little sweet chilli sauce to dip.A dish of chilli and garlic stir fried seafood followed – a mix of well cooked fish, squid, prawns, mussels – juicy, but retaining a pleasant firmness to the bite – the spices middlingly mild – but the FWO ordered some chopped chilli on the side to add a bit of zing to his.Then we turned our attention to a mussel pancake – crisply cooked and eggy, full of plump mussels, Thai flavours, it was a well put together dish and very enjoyable. They have an oyster version which will be on the agenda on another visit.All in all, the food was good quality, nothing extraordinary, but full of flavour and top value – a friendly and welcoming place – worth a visit."

8 years on.... so disappointed... really craving for our usual dish that we get but food is no longer what it used to be... meat was not well marinated having barely any taste. Rice was hard and dry. Soup was tasteless. It simply tasted like they just put in all the listed ingredients and let it come to a boil before serving.<br>

Customer service was good but the food should be the main star of the restaurant so I can't base my review on service.<br>

So disappointed.. don't think I'll ever be back...<br>

"My son and I went today. HAd bibimbap beef, Korean fried chicken, pancake washed down with ginseng team and crushed pear juice,It was very tasty, my son went crazy for the chicken.The staff were very friendly, all that for under £20 sterling for two of us.Superb food and value.We highly recommend."
