"First time at Baba Indian, I am relatively new to Indian food (1-2) years. I have cooked curry and had food truck Indian many times, but this is my first restaurant experience. I ordered Medium Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. The Tikka Masala was text-book. It had lots of flavor and a good amount of spice for a medium curry dish. Serving size is enough for leftovers, and overall price was not bad. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer."

"We were so regular when they had the food truck in the corner! Great food but damn expensive! In general, I don’t get why these chat places charge so much while much of the food required many common simple ingredients as most abundantly available in USA these times. All these chat corners should keep prices more affordable and aim for more customers with consistent quality."

"So thrilled to have Kanak in Charlottesville! My husband and I are huge Indian food fans and Kanak has really set the bar high! Every element of everything we have ordered has been consistent perfection. Spices are beautifully balanced, textures are unmatched, and the amount of food served is just right. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable about their menu, always willing to give recommendations, and are attentive throughout every sitting. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Great to see so many people eating there at lunch on a Monday. If we could eat here every night we absolutely would! Can’t recommend Kanak cville enough!Vegetarian options: The best place to eat if you are vegetarian! So many options, but the eggplant and okra curries are my favorites!Parking: In the 5th street station parking lot so there is plenty of parking very close."

"Best Indian food ever and wonderful friendly service! We highly recommend! For the life of me, I can't remember the name of what I ordered, Saag Choholy? It had chickpeas, spinach and a wonderful cream sauce. I ordered the hotness at a level 4 out of a 1-6 heat scale, and I'd say that was about perfect if you like a little spiciness. The garlic bread, sort of like a flat bread was fantastic and the veggie appetizer (looks like little witch hats) with all the sauces was also excellent. Lots of food; took some home."
