"Showed up quite late with 11 people and no booking, the staff were happy to fit us in! They also were happy for us to order in small groups to make less awkward bill splitting later. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Food was yum, really enjoy my paneer tikka in particular. Thanks!! Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The kathi sounded interesting, but then I realized that I had already packed some Indian “Kebabs” in roti or naan and the other places were all bigger than here still cheaper. then they took minutes to make it, they said something about the cursed from rotis, which is not well built for a place around roti. the good thing was that the roll had a delicate chicken fresh from the grill, which was much richer and spicier when it was in the regular food dishes. the curries in the window could therefore be a good choice to get a bit fast still quite expensive, but a clear step up from the usual food dish indians."

"I never heard of 'bathi rolls' until ChaChu's opened up in MLC. The roll similar to a burrito with the classic indian flavoured fillings and is pretty good value too. You also get to see the staff make the food on the spot which is always a great novelty for me."

"I’ve given a four star rating but it should really be three and a half. I don’t know how to give hand stars so will do 4 but noting reservations. You decide. Really nice location in Darling Harbour near the very colorful Ferris wheel and...great outdoor seating makes this a fun spot. But the restaurant itself is a funny mix between upmarket and cheap. It overlooks the water but it’s inside a shopping mall. It’s styling is at times quite nice eg lovely serving dishes but in other ways quite cheap looking eg pappadums come in old style cheap baskets with a serviette. Similarly the tables outside are too close together and it feels like a cheaper suburban restaurant rather than upmarket dining experience. So points for the location but loses some of you’re expecting fine dining. Service was very prompt and friendly and honest ie they tell you what’s the better options if you’re looking for value. So again points for accessibility but it’s not a fine dining standard. Food is above average but perhaps not yet in the very good category. Mostly standard dishes but with some nice surprises (okra and prawn dishes). A big tick for providing lots of vegetarian options. We got both vegetarian and non vegetarian banquets and in some respects the vegetarian was better (according to those that tried both options). Servings are very generous we have 3 quite big eaters out of 5 of us but we couldn’t finish it. Wine list is good as are the mango lassis. We had banquets so the dessert is ice cream. Bit boring but flavor was ok. Value for money? it was for us bc we booked with a 50% off the food bill. With a banquets for 5 people, couple of glasses of sparkling, a bottle of wine and 6 lassi we walked our completely full for around $250. Without the discount it probably would have been another $125. So great value with a discount, less so at full price."
