"Seriously tasty burger! Beautiful lovely pub with friendly staff and delicious food. The pictures don't do it just justice apologies. One of the best pub burgers I have had in a long time. Bar area is dog friendly as well. Well worth a visit!"

"We’ve just returned from lunch at the Royal Saracens Head in Beaconsfield. As a child I attended Oakdene,a girls public boarding school in Old Town Beaconsfield. I was always envious of friends who were taken to the Saracens Head by their parents on school outings, however I was never fortunate enough to be taken there myself. Finally after 60 odd years of living overseas, my husband and I found ourselves today in the vicinity of Beaconsfield on one of our holidays back to the UK so I persuaded him to book us a table for lunch. It was a really dreary dull rainy day today, but the moment we arrived at the Saracens Head, AJ the Manager made us feel very welcome. He made sure the open fire was lit and crackling away whilst we sat on exquisitely comfortable sofas beside the fire where we had a pre lunch drink and perused the lunch menus. The Royal Saracens has 2 menus, one is an extensive a la carte, the other is a choice of 2 courses (approx £19) or 3 courses (approx £22) but even with a “set menu” there are a delicious variety of dishes to choose from. After our pre lunch drink by the fire, we moved into the dining room, this was a very pretty area where the tables were laid with sparkling glasses and shining cutlery and I loved the lighting, it was soft but not dark, adding to a wonderful cosy ambiance. We were served by a lovely waitperson, Kayla, she was extremely professional which added to our total enjoyment of our meal. The food was delicious and we also had a very pleasant bottle of white wine. I am so glad I was finally able to share such a memorable meal with my husband in a place that holds fond memories for me. If you are ever in Buckinghamshire and find yourself in Beaconsfield I would recommend you try to have a meal at the Royal Saracens Head."

"Nice bar, disappointed that three of the deserts weren't available, we ate on a Monday at 7.30pm so it wasn't busy. Being with a 13 year old, desert is essential!! Food was fairly standard for a Gastro pub. Nice evening, service was very good."

"Heard amazing things about this pub was so excited to try it. But awfully let down. We chose this place for my best friends 30th, and can’t even describe how awful the main restaurant manager was. First off, we booked our table for 12pm which is the earliest they open on a Sunday. We tried calling at 12pm to say we were running late as there was a crash on the motorway, called 4 times no one answered. When we turned up at 12.30, she greeted us not even with a “hi how are you” she told us straight away that we only have 1.5hrs left on the table. I asked if when the time slot is over if we can move to another available table manager said no, it’s fully booked. Anyway, turns out a lot of the tables were empty. We felt super rushed, not welcomed my best friend who was turning 30) felt very uncomfortable. They brought the cake out to us as soon as our dinner plates were taken, without asking us if we were ready. They gave us no plates or cutlery and as soon as they put the cake on the table they said we only have five minutes. How are we meant to cut a cake, take photos and eat and pay in five minutes? Restaurant manager very rude kept looking over at us with no smile. Awful pub customer service, avoid for special occasions but it is a pretty pub. Besides the restaurant manager, the lady that waited on our table was absolutely lovely. She even said happy birthday to my friend and apologised for the atmosphere bless her. "Although the menu was varied and catered for every taste they had ran out of most things we asked for straight away considering it was 19.30 it was ridiculous and ruined our evening before it started it was easier for them to say what they did have. I had to send my ribeye steak back as it was really fatty and I replaced it with a fillet which was lovely but with very little to accompany it for quite a high price tag. Although the service was excellent the food let it down so safe to safe won’t be returning which is a shame as a few years ago I use to be a regular and it’s a good halfway point for my daughter."

"Not what it used to be. The outside tables were filthy. With green mould under the glass. The napkin photo Is where we wiped a very small area of the glass top. Other tables and chairs had bird poo on them. Curtains in the windows hanging off the hooks. We came for something to eat, but if the tables outside haven't even been wiped down or cleaned since when? Then what are the other cleanliness standards like?"
