"We had travelled from Sandwich to meet friends from Eastbourne. The doors were not open at 11 as stated on line, but following a phone call they were opened at 11.30. There was a lovely warm living fire which we hogged while we enjoyed excellent coffee and catch up with our friends. The menu is excellent, the food brilliant, as was the service attentive without being intrusive. We'll be meeting more friends, from Uckfield, shortly and I think we'll be enjoying The Bull again."

"16. October my daughter had her wedding reception at the hotel and we had 11 rooms. I can honestly everything and all the staff where brilliant the food was nice and nothing was a problem. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and I would recommend the White Lion and Hotel to anyone who had a celebration"

"A request to clear our table after the previous occupants, was met with… well, difficult to describe, petulance? the waitress took one object from the crowded table. We cleared the remainder onto the adjacent table. Our table with crumbs from the previous people remained unwiped. I couldn’t wait to leave. I can visit better places than this to be treated rudely! We’re fairly local and had been looking forward to trying out this cafe, but we won’t be returning."

"I organized here today a baby shower for a work friend and was very impressed by everything from the organization before the day with jess, all my emails were immediately answered to eat (they were for all our nutritional needs without any need) and friendly staff today. they also set up decorations for us. many thanks!"

"Has gone downhill massively with the change of management. The clients are not people who you will want to share a pub with. Very intimidating, loads of load swearing and there had just been an incident. It used to be excellent food but we left before ordering and will not go back. Restaurant used to be full at the weekend and now it was empty, which says it all."

"Today we popped in for a quick drink whilst visiting the outlet. Whilst sat enjoying our drinks we were surprised to see a dog brought into the establishment. Unbeknown to us there were two other small dogs in the corner of the coffee shop who started barking when the other dog appeared. They didn't bark for long however was shocked to see that the two small dogs were drinking water from glass from the cafes counter. One was also on the seat in the coffee shop. When leaving the coffee shop I asked the assistant if dogs were allowed in the shop. I was told they were as they were allowed around the site of the the outlet. To be honest I was a little shocked by this however this was the policy. I am not a dog owner however I do not find it acceptable to go into coffee shop see a dog on the furniture and drinking from a glass that will be used by another customer."
