"This place is under new management so thought we'd give it a try. Friendly and polite staff, clean and tidy. Not a massive place but they do takeaway. They have a good selection of stuff like jackets and quiche. The sweet stuff looked AMAZING. The sandwiches were delicious and they offer specials which all looked very tempting. There was so much I would have liked to have tried so will definitely be back for a visit."

"Long wait ito be served as only 1 member of staff. She was obviously overworked but very pleasant. Did not realise until paying that this cafe is part of the adjacent Masserellas, when I noticed that my order of a toasted sandwich was taken there to be heated. After waiting a considerable time for the sandwich, I asked another member of staff how long it was likely to be. She returned fairly quickly with the item, but then remarked that it was not fully toasted as I was not willing to wait!!! I believe the management need to invest in some proper customer service training if they ant to keep customers."

"I've rated this as good simply because since it reopened after Covid the choice of cakes has gone downhill, however the food and drinks are great quality, the seating outside is handy if you've been for a walk around the Lake and need a cuppa...although service can be a little bit slow sometimes."

"First visit and last From the moment we walked through the door we weren’t impressed fusty smell like old carpets bad fish smell . We should have walked straight back out but as we had booked a table and family had travelled...far to meet up we sat at our table checked out the menu The lady who served our drinks gave off bad vibes, made us feel very unwelcome (don’t think she liked the fact we had a dog) There was an oppressive atmosphere about the place even the dog couldn’t settle We decided to leave rather than eat there the same lady wasn’t happy when we said we weren’t staying, she huffed at us and walked away We went directly across the road to a lovely cheerful cafe and had very friendly service and great (home made) food Won’t ever return to the wagon horses"

"Considering the price £1.80 for a coffee in a market hall it's absolutely terrible coffee and definitely wont be coming back, and the staff spend too much time talking to people they know and keep others waiting to be served, plates with food on left by customers which doesn't say much for the food quality either!"

"Me, my husband and friends went here on a Saturday evening for our tea and few drinks. The staff are so friendly and helpful, carn't do enough for you. We all had curries and was so impressed with the quality of dishes, one of the best curries we all said we'd had. Would highly recommend this pub and a must visit. Will definitely be coming back for more lovely meals."

"Staff are super friendly. Bedrooms look to be newly refurbished and bed was super comfy. Really quiet at night so great sleep. Bar area is nicely laid out and Black Sheep on tap. Didn’t have dinner but seeing the dinners being delivered they looked good....Breakfast was good quality. Can highly recommend as great value for money."
