"Only for lunch, so you can not comment on the rooms and stay over. pleasant old pub. clean and welcoming. I had no reservation, but it was pretty quiet. menu for the special menu. nicely cooked and presented with good service overall. will be revisited when in the opposite."

"Excellent ice cream with wonderfully friendly and welcoming service. We stopped in for a knickerbocker glory and a banana waffle with tea and coffee. The ice creams are absolutely delicious and really well presented. The hot drinks are served with a mini ice cream cone on the side wonderful"

"I often come here when visiting family nearby. I tend to shop for those items that are less well available where I live, close to Cologne in Germany. I always go to one of the checkouts still manned by human beings. I am not a supporter of the self check out tills which seems to becoming popular in the UK in such large supermarkets."

"Eating was absolutely terrible, paid £25 for a steak that melts like gum. the worst I had ever eaten, lamb was all fat, congealed gravur, the yorkshire pudding had randomly mixed crimsons in the middle, the cauliflower was the most dry I ever had. it was also 40 minutes too late. so disappointed!"
