"25/1/23 Popped in here for a light lunch and wasn 't disappointed. The choice is great (see pictures) and very tasty. I opted for the winter veg soup which was a very generous portion filled with numerous veg and flavoured with ginger and chilli (homemade) together with a cheese and onion toastie followed by a pot of tea (which came with hot water. Yay! The whole lot came to less than a tenner which I thought was a bargain and certainly in line with other establishments in the area. If your in the area and like the personal touch instead of the usual 'grab it and go ' that 's on offer then I urge you to visit. All the food is delicious. You won 't be disappointed. 5"

"These guys really know their bread and it shows in everything that they make; whatever shape it comes in and whether a loaf, a sandwich or toast it’s incredible. Simply perfect sourdough. Given the circumstances we couldn’t enjoy the usual fare (hence the 4 spots rather than 5) but instead procured through the hatch to enable distancing etc. Coffee was awesome, had a couple of sandwiches with local cheese and homemade chutneys (both excellent and that made for a great little picnic lunch) and a loaf for tomorrow’s breakfast. Folk were lovely, hygiene and COVID practices were all excellent..."

"We booked this restaurant as trip advisor had scored highly and we were visiting daughter who is at Uni there. We made a reservation for for lunch for four people. When we arrived we were met with a rather miserable looking Manager. I asked...if we could take a window seat(both were empty) we were met with a flat No We were then shown to our table at the very back of the building. We ordered starters and mains. Pate. Whitebait and prawn cocktail for starters. Roast beef and burger for main. The service from our assigned waitress was lovely. However the food itself was nothing other than terrible. Over priced. Considering ours was one of the first plates served. As opened at Midday was shocking. Location Decor fantastic. Manageress needs to take a leaf from waitresses books. Food needs to be priced accordingly."

"Fantastic eating in a pleasant environment. we tried the lunch menu. I had the pork-baked, the speck and the sweet were on my own faust amazing, never mind, the cheering of the tender swarm. my daughter had the inkfish. absolutely divine and generous. my hubby had a pate baguette. we also had the patatas bravas between us, fantastic. the complementary olives and the brot are a welcome supplement. we are coming back to the final."
