"This place is very expensive and was shocked to see a bill for £27.20 for two coffee's and three deserts. Although the coffee's and deserts were lovely, in no way were they £27.20 lovely and you can have the same for much cheaper elsewhere. The service was fine so no complaints there so unless you have deep pockets I sadly can't recommend this place. Way too expensive."

"Found this place by infestation and wow the eating was amazing, they changed my ham to streaky speck for me and it was the best eier benedict that I had eaten, service was excellent and it was spotless in there"

"I used to love Bourgee and the quality was great, but all that's the same now is the name and the decor. The food was really average lobster was chewy, pasta totally lacked flavour and every lacked the finesse it used to deliver. The staff were super friendly, but not that clued up and it used to be impeccable. The menu has shrunk a lot, which could be good if it meant they were focussing on delivering great dishes, but that's not even the case. It's a shame it's gone that way and may have been slightly more forgivable if it wasn't still the same price! I hope it finds it's mojo again soon."

"Impressed. because there were no vegan options on the menu, I was a little understandable and doubtful what I would get. I was offered a selection of three meals that could be a starter or a main and a choice of two dessert. it is the best vegan meal I have eaten. huge compliments to the chef, many thanks. the smoked aubergine tempura star and the chipotle chickpea chilli surpassed my expectations and was thoroughly enjoyed. I had a few comments that my eating looked the best! please note that there are many local vegans who have the opportunity to have a fine culinary experience. my only comment is that I feel that the cheek-erbsen would have a bit more heat to balance the aromen even better. many thanks again for a delicious meal."
