"Really liked the outdoor seating...nice view of the ocean and palmettos all around of course. Great ambience in general. The food was quite good as well. Only reason it isn't 5 stars in my book is it seemed a tad on the pricey side for what you get."

"I wanted to like the Hilton Head Diner. What is better than a true diner experience? The atmosphere was reasonably true to the genre, with a nice counter and decent booth seating. The menu was extensive and seemed reasonably priced. The service was also very good, with a coffee served quickly. Good expectations. Unfortunately the food let the place down. I had the country fried steak and eggs for breakfast. The ‘steak’ seemed to be a breaded patty of some indeterminate ‘meat’ that was taken out of the freezer shortly before cooking. The sausage gravy was goopy. The eggs and hash browns were fine. The rye toast was good. These last items took the food rating from a two to a three, but if scrambled eggs and toast is redeeming your food, well…… If I go back, I’ll try something else."

"To celebrate a birthday for the first time in this restaurant with friends. It was their Monday Lobsternacht (reservations are required for this special night, from what I was told). Everyone ordered the lobster that was advertised as Maine Lobster and on the basis of the experiences that feed lobsters, it was as sweet and tender as any Maine Lobster I had in the past. This special dish came with boiled potatoes and corn on the Cob. It was delicious. We also started our night with drinks at the outside bar during their happy hour. Fair prices, great atmosphere and good food. A pleasant time had our whole group. And we all want to come back soon."

"Cook was very friendly and accommodated my funny omelet request. He even came out to make sure we liked our meal. I’m dairy free and had a build your own omelet without cheese. It was huge, couldn’t finish it all. And it was great!"

"I was twice. Both were at dinner. The first time I had the pot roast and it was amazing! The second time I had Steak and it was great! Mac and cheese is so good!! My daughter is picky about Mac and cheese. She tried and loved it! The pages are a large part, so you're worth your money!"
