"Quieter place and not necessarily on good wise. the place is a little weird when I'm honest. the service is slow and seemed quite tense! eating, though ok, could and should be much better in considering the size of the menu. if they. need a quick bite, then it will suffice, but it is on a certain type of client that was clear as it was busy, it was simply not for us."

"Tried The Counties on the off-chance as most other places were full. I guess the alarm bell should have rung when we realised the place was almost empty, not so long ago when it was the Ramada it was always busy. Our food came quickly, again not a great sign, I had opted for the burger which looked good but was just warm rather than hot, however it was replaced and very tasty too. My wife’s meal was covered in black burnt food simply because chefs don’t clean the grill, this too was replaced. In fairness they offered us free drinks but when the bill arrived these were charged. Rather than create more fuss we paid and left but it will be a while before trying it again. There’s much better in Portrush that is consistently good, maybe just that the Counties does not yet have the consistency as other reviews are good."

"I have been at the riverbank cafe a number of times and have always found it to be excellent. The stand are friendly and efficient. The best thing about it for me being a coffee lover is that not only do they have great coffee...and top quality coffee machine they have staff who are trained to use it so make an excellent coffee whatever choice. So many places the coffee is ruined by staff that overheat the coffee or the milk! There is a good choice of food and cakes in a very pleasant and comfortable surroundings. If you haven't been then your missing out and I can guarantee it will not be a one of visit."

"Even though I've lived in NI for a few years now, my family and I don't like to eat out because the food is usually bland, but this place? Very good, best mashed potatoes and gravel sauce I've ever had here, all the food was good. The staff was very friendly and hardworking, I hope they get paid right."

"Visited today for a meal with my partner and our friends, as we had visited before and always had a great experience! the girl who served our table ruined our meal, very bad attitude. I understand that it is hard to get personal in the hospitality, but. her attitude was shocking, it seemed a lot of effort for her to take our order and then she called us children as we ordered the same court. we brought him with the manager and he apologized for her. very expensive menu that does not reflect the taste and quality of the food."
