"This was great! I can’t believe I haven’t tried this before. Excellent service and the loaded French fries are delicious. The ingredients actually taste fresh and for the price, it’s a steal. The only thing that could have been better would be the fried mahi mahi. It was a bit tough but I guess I’d rather overcooked vs undercooked."

"Going down Miami, FL, this shop is a quick park to curb type of thing. If you missed the street parking (like I did), you can turn onto broadway, and park in the back. I came around 9:40 with my boyfriend, and it was a little sketchy. Yet, as you walk and walk into the shop, it makes you have a sense of relief."

"There 's hardly any space to stand if you don 't have a table. The staff has an attitude like can you get out of the way? . No... There 's no other space to exist in. A cover should guarantee you a place to stand minimum. The live music is fantastic. Their mojitos are a little sweet for me compared to other places."

"Pretty good! They rebranded/renamed to Platinum Crabs. Not sure if the owners or recipe has changed because this was the first time I came here and have never experienced it when it was still The Crab Stop. Nevertheless, the seafood is pretty good!"

"Food was great I highly recommend the crispy shrimp. Lilly was our server and took time to explain everything to us as it was our firs time there. A great meal and when they say one combo is enough for two.... More like three! Had a great time."

"I went to the 2006 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show and intentionally flew into Miami instead of Ft. Lauderdale, so I could eat at La Carreta while waiting for my return flight to New Orleans. I learned about the food several years ago when I asked an American Captain where to eat Cuban in the Airport. He said the only place in Miami for Cuban food was La Carreta. Having traveled to Miami on numerous occasions and eaten in many Cuban restaurants....he was right. It is the best, and being from Louisiana, I know food!"
