"Eating was super fresh and extremely hot. the fruit milkshake was really thick and good. the fries were just salted enough. they moved quickly and efficiently and from beginning to end we were in the passage less than 10 minutes. that was our first experience to eat there, but will not be our last."

"I ordered dinner online from the Gardendale location on December 16. My husband picked it up. When he got home we didn?t have a drink or chips and his sandwich was not toasted. I just told him and my daughter that I would go by on the next day for the chips and drink. I couldn?t stop by on the 17th so I went on the 18th. I walked in and explained to him and also handed him the receipt. He stared at it for a while then looked at the chip rack then at me. I explained again and he said ?16th was a long time ago, today is the 18th? I explained again and he said ?today not the 16th?. I said ok and tossed the receipt into the trash. Both my husband and I have supported this business but no more. I spent $38 on that day alone. I?ve only seen 3 people at the most in there when I stop by. I will not set foot in theire ever again. My husband will not and we have talked to others who say that he isn?t nice at all. I will go to the Fultondale location from now on. You have an attitude with people who are supporting you!!!!"

"I had a catering order (21 employees) and all of the other Panera locations in the Birmingham area were unfortunately unable to take the order. This location called me and asked if they could take the order. The customer service was great as well as the food! We will be returning to this location for our next Panera lunch order. "This is a meat-and-three restaurant, with a bakery. The location was empty a long time, so I'm not sure many people realize Kemp's opened up here. This was the first time eating there for myself and my husband. The meat choices were fried chicken breasts, fried catfish, and I think beef liver and chicken tenders. We got the chicken breasts and catfish. My sides were macaroni and cheese and sweet potato casserole with a roll. My husband's were fried green tomatoes and fried okra. The catfish was probably the best I've ever had, and the chicken breasts were good. I love super-cheesy macaroni, and they delivered with grated cheese on top of the mac-and- cheese. I thought it was excellent. I don't care much for fried green tomatoes, but my husband gets it all the time, and said this was too crusty. The okra was good. I filled up before I could try the casserole, and neither of us had room to try the rolls. We came home with lots of leftovers, plus a gooey piece of turtle brownie from the bakery."

"No place I know of can compare with their garlic bread...(I always get 2 loafs...one for me to eat all I want, while it's hot, and another to share when I get home)!! Also, they are nice enough to deconstruct their roast beef with gravy sandwiches for me to warm back up when I get home for supper!!"
