"We spent a few days camping in Golden and came across The Island. It was a short walk from the campground. We sat on the patio for a lovely summer evening and the ambiance was lovely. The food was outstanding. The service was the same. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"This looks like a brand new store, with lots of seating, even a fireplace. The food is standard Tim's, but staff didn't seem to be very happy, not sure what was happening. Blank stares, no greeting, got order wrong. There was no camaraderie amongst staff, maybe the store needs new management?"

"We have been driving through Golden several times a year for last 30 years to get to our cabin. Decided to try this place. Looks nice from outside & inside. I ordered Poutine & it was small fir $10. Like a cereal bowl small. That was disappointing- too small to share with someone, whereas usually poutine needs to be shared to finish it.Son ordered fries & gravy and it was twice the size of mine & only $1.50 cheaper. Other son had Mac & Cheese for $18 !!!Service was meh. Guy didnt seem very interested in his job or in a good mood."

"Used to be a great place for all day breakfast, super fast and tasty. Not the same after our last visit. My wife ordered an omelet, ham, bacon, cheese. The brought it with mushrooms, fine mistakes happen but don't question a customer when they tell you they did not order something. Never ordered anything with mushrooms in 50 years, not going to mistakenly order them now. Omelet itself very poor quality, made with cheese slices? Who does that anymore? The menu says cheddar cheese. I suspect new ownership but not 100% sure."

"Great food great service. No problem when I ordered a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. But there where no napkins in the bag. I get it there was a condiment station and I was expected to grab my own. So they should have mentioned...it."

"Loved the vibe of this little place. Pass through a new book store on the first floor to some stairs to reach the cafe and used book selections. They serve up a nice latte, and offer some fresh and tasty sandwich options that would make a great lunch. A few little tables to sit at and enjoy the cozy space, or browse around their used books. If it's summer, try one of their unique housemade popsicles - love the spicy mango and spicy pineapple flavours!"
