"We went in mid day (about 4:20) for a quick bite. There were no other tables. Since it was early we only ordered water to drink. They served some bread with two dipping sauces. Bread was fine, sauces were tasteless. We thought it was odd that one of the sauces was an herb olive oil because every table had a small carafe with olive oil which had a sprig of thyme and a red chili marinating inside. Once we looked closer at this olive oil, we saw that the thyme was moldy where it was sticking out of the olive oil! We then looked at these on other tables....and they ALL were moldy!! We pointed this out to the server and she quickly took them all away and brought us a new one. This was fine...but it takes a very long time for thyme in olive oil to become moldy and for these to be still served on every table is atrocious. Appetizer was a Portobello on Polenta. This was fair at best Portobello was chewy and the polenta was a hard fried square. We shared a main of Salmon with a Guajillo (hot pepper) sauce. Well instead of a nice drizzle of spicy Guajillo glaze/sauce, it was swimming in a bland, thin, salty sauce. Could not even taste the fish and the skin which was left on (ok if it is crispy) was a limp soggy mess on the bottom. Most awful salmon we have ever eaten we managed to eat about half of it. Our only guess is that they have a new cook post covid who is trying to do the menu which a previous chef prepared."

"Once we dicovered Santos Cafe we came here often for lunch, usually around 2 pm when it was quieter and were able to find one of the tables on the bridge. It was nice and cool with a breeze on a hot day and fun...watching people walking by or buskers playing music singing. I had the Vegetable Pasta which I liked and my husband usually had the Vegetarian Baguette! The service was very good, staff all very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Cervesa was always nice and cold. We loved the ambiance of this little Restaurant! Recommend it highly!!"

"I live in guanajuato and have been driving to barra for about 3 months. I eat there about 3 times a week. I almost always have a wrap de pollo that is very good!huh, cheese, salat, grilled paprika, swirling and maybe a few small slices. by jalapeno? it is a very, very good sandwich and comes to the side with a delicious sauce, and I usually have a red drink called toras?! I can't tell you what's in there (lol, but it's very delicious. 'comes cold; much red fruit in it. wifi is good, brownies are good (I think they're homemade, as well as empanadas, muffins, espresso drinks, etc. from this writing (jan 2017) they're just put into a new espresso machine! I can't comment. when I laughed before, they were good, but rather mild. "very in the middle of the road. they have changed their coffee supplier to coffee from chiapas. so hopefully the coffee will be a bit more robust in the future. the caffe is tiny. only 4 tabs. but very reasonable in price, good service and good food. my ONLY complaint is that the tables are quite uneven and a bit crisp. be careful where they sit a drink on the table to avoid spilling it. trivial, I know, but I wanted to say that because that's my only complaining! (I think the tables were a budget movement."

"Giving this 5 stars , because frankly it's the best Vegetarian meal I've had in GuanaJuato. For such a beautiful place the food doesn't seem to reflect its greatness. I ordered the falafel / hummus sandwich and enjoyed it. Best ever? Not quite , but very good. Be warned : The wait was super long , so don't go in a rush."
