"Lovely building. Lovely view. Food was great and all the staff were nice and welcoming... However, our room (room 4) had an odd smell, was extremely hot, and the extractor fans for the kitchen were right outside the bathroom window and were VERY loud and ran from very early in the morning until very late at night. I'd be happy to stay there again but would ensure my room was not above the kitchen! Lovely place but don't stay in room 4!"

"Excellent place and would go again and recommend. I had the Salt Beef Hash and my wife had the Salt Beef Eggs Benny. Both dishes were very good as was the salt beef. Very well cooked, nicely presented and good portions. Reasonably priced considering the quality. The service was very friendly too."

"Think it may have been an off day but the blue haired bar person was quite miserable. I asked for a half ,said they only do 2/3 when I asked why she said because it is . Milk stout was ice cold not the way I like my dark beer and the cider tasted watered down. Overall a poor experience. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"As an American tourist, it can be hard to not label every single place I eat at as “the best”, but it highly deserved for this place. I came last September with a tour group, and on a free day used my money to get an AWESOME sandwich and drink for only £5, walked to the lake, stuffed it in my face then walked nearly a mile back to get another! Besides the food being to die for, the girls working the shop that day were incredibly sweet! Id 100% make the 5,000mile trip back across the Atlantic for the sole purpose of having another sandwich from here : Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10"
