"Found The Mill on a Google search and liked reviews so thought would try. A tad difficult to get to as 80yr old mother struggled with steep hill but certainly worth the walk. Seated immediately and a great selection of breakfasts available. Fresh OJ was refreshing and coffee very nice. We had The Classic, The Mill Rosti and The Melbourne. All soooo tasty and cooked well. Bacon vert crispy how I like it and eggs still a bit runny. Rostis won over mother as clearly handmade. Tables filled as soon as cleared so obviously popular with locals as well as us tourists. Staff very friendly and the restaurant was clean despite being so busy. Definitely will make a return visit before we leave . Would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon."

"Thinking it looked like an authentic Portuguese spot we dined here before heading to the airport. The food was passable, wine undrinkable and the hospitality woeful. It was very apparent that English people weren't welcome as EVERY other group of diners ie. non UK were given a free as shot of Ginja (a Portuguese liqueur) before leaving and we weren't, which was pretty vile. We are actually Irish but they weren't to know, but I've never experienced anything like it before. Perhaps it was because we declined the large fish that was shoved in our faces when we sat down or the cling film wrapped plate of sweaty cheese and cured ham that was plonked on the table along with the bread. Be warned: neither are free. The platter (which grumpy, personality devoid waiter returned to the bar counter) was €12 and the (what's customarily free across the world) bread rolls, €4. Avoid."
