"Visited between Christmas and New Year at short notice having collected family from the airport in Cork. The place was bustling with Christmas guests yet the staff remained friendly and unflappable, with a very welcoming lady at the door who showed me to reception to make a booking and them remembered me and took us straight to our table a couple of hours later. The food was very good in particular the cheese and charcuterie platter which was of a very high quality as well as absolutely enormous. It really is enough for two as a main course! Fish and chips was also declared to be excellent, as were the pork belly and a Castle Burger. The perfect place to stop in Macroom."

"Was here today with the lovely Ursula en route to Killarney. It’s a really cosy pub with an open fire and is most welcoming on a cold wet February day. The place is full of old black and white photographs of railwaymen and days gone by. We arrived after normal breakfast hours but the lovely staff were very obliging and they made fried eggs on toast for me and twas just magic! Ursula had homemade scones and she was delighted. A great pit stop if you’re passing through!"

We had a meal for people and I can't rate the hotel, the Creedon family, their staff and their food highly enough....They were absolutely fantastic from the start when we started planning right through."

"Could not fault the meal we received in Waders. On route home from Cork on a late Monday evening expectations of anywhere were low. Food was so fresh and tasty and you definitely will not leave hungry...would highly recommend!!!"
