"American-esque Deli sandwiches in downtown Marrickville. Didn't expect it did you? Well you're in for a treat. This place is brand new, clean and modern looking with a great menu of deli sandwiches you can either eat in or take away. Such a refreshing menu choice given we're in the heartland of vietnamese/greek food. I can never go past pulled pork .. but for once I feel like i should return and just work my way through the menu. "Love this place. Really nice vibe. I try to get to the kids' swimming lessons earlier just to get coffee across the road. Love their homemade cookies. Friendly team. My husband went with the kids the other week and had the crumpets and said they were the best crumpets he'd ever had. I'll have to go back for them!"

"This is one of these great craft breweries hidden in one of the inside suburbs of sydney, although fortunately a quite short walk from the railway station. like most of these small breweries they have a great selection of beer, although I notice that this place is certainly very popular, as it can be difficult to find a seat to time. but the main reason that I come to places like these are for the beer, and the beer selection here is certainly quite good."

"If you understand ricotta you'll know that in Sydney the very best ricotta by a mile is made by Paesanella. I went there to buy it fresh from the factory but friends who were lunching at the cafe downstairs asked me to join them. I'm glad I did. I sampled a few pastas and then coffee and gelato. "I came here on a Queen's Birthday public holiday morning around 9am to avoid the crowds and lines, and it worked, there was nobody there and I didn't have to wait! I ordered a pork roll and a BBQ pork roll, and a can of drink.<br>

The BBQ pork roll uses nem nuong, which is a Vietnamese grilled pork, and I love nem nuong so I was looking forward to trying this roll. I loved how their BBQ pork had that beautiful bright pinky-red colour that nem nuong has, unlike some other places where it's a little more brown than pink. It's packed and delicious, every bite tasted full of flavour, right down to the last bite, and the salad was crisp and fresh. The BBQ pork itself was perhaps slightly on the salty side, but it wasn't too much of a problem for me, especially as I had a drink to go with it.<br>

But the pork roll was the main attraction that I came for, and it was every bit as good as the hype that I'd heard about it. It had so much flavour and I got a good bite of everything in every single bite, it wasn't lacking in one ingredient while being plentiful in another like some pork rolls I've had. I had the pork roll with chilli, and unlike some shops, they use a chilli sauce/paste instead of fresh chillies. For me, I can't eat a lot of chilli, and as they didn't use fresh chilli, I couldn't pick any out, and my mouth was on fire but it was well worth it still. (My friend loves chilli, which is why we ordered the pork roll with chilli.)<br>

Apart from the strong flavours and delicious freshness and amount of the ingredients, the bread roll itself was beautiful, it was crispy without being too hard and cutting into the roof of my mouth, and it was soft on the inside, but not too thick inside, so I didn't feel like I was eating a whole lot of dry bread.<br>

The service was great, they ticked everything; they were very fast, efficient, polite, and quite friendly. Everything was very cheap, the rolls were $5 each and the can of drink was only $1.<br>
<br>
TIP: if you can, get there early in the morning and have this for breakfast, it's perfect and cheap, and you won't have to wait in line for ages. Also, in my opinion, the chilli sauce/paste they use is quite hot, and if you get it, it'll be in every single bite, right down to the end, so get a drink to help combat that heat."
