"Amazing eating and the perfect sequence to visit the rosslyn capsule. go before an appetit, as the portions are very generous. we had the smoked laughs and the chicken paws as our appetizers and followed that with the steak pee and the steak and tumble sandwich for our net (many circumcisions also everything was perfectly cooked, especially the steak, not complain at all. service was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm sorry, no photos, we attacked eating as soon as it arrived."

"What a beautiful restaurant this is! Lovely decor, friendly, attentive staff, and a wonderful sunny outdoor decking area next to the river. Wonderful menu and fabulous food. I will be coming back again and again. Just fabulous. Highly recommend!"

"For over 12 years, the Sun Inn has been our favorite restaurant in the Edinburgh area. The food was always something a wee bit special. Unfortunately, last nite was not the case. There’s been a significant change in the menu, and not for the better. My partner and I had the soup, which to be honest was good. However my Daughter had the crispy cauliflower which was a complete disaster. From then on it went downhill, two of us had the steak pie, Fray Bentos make better! I’ll stress that we had no issues with the waiting staff, and I felt guilty having to voice my concerns about our experience. We only had four alcoholic drinks, three starters, and three mains. The bill after deductions was still £129! In essence a complete disaster, and having read other recent reviews on here, there does seem to be “issues.” My partner and Daughter have always raved The Sun Inn, and I’m gutted having to write this review…….."

"We visited Nando’s on their first night back open to eat in and they did a great job! All social distancing etc measures were put in place and explained to us very well as we came in. The food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and very attentive. All in all, a very well done to them with everything they have put in place for reopening. We loved it!"

"My enkelin birthday party took place in the soft play area and it was just perfect. the personal could not have been more helpful and accommodating. the children all had an explosion. highly recommended"

"My wife and I went for lunch, I had the Cullen skink to start, I was surprised to find it didn't come with bread but it was up there with the best I've tasted. My wife had pate, she was served a big portion of fresh pate with lots of oatcakes she found the plum jam too tarte. Next up I had fish and chips, lovely big portion of fresh crispy fish with homemade chips, it was very nice. My wife had a steak sandwich which was a little too rare for her so she sent it back. She was slightly disappointed with it and it was quite expensive for what she got. Service was great, the atmosphere was quiet but it started to liven up a bit with a few more tables coming in. One thing I didn't like was the glasses we were served our coke in, they were small schooner type glasses which I drank in three mouthfuls. Small issues but overall a good experience."

"They usually order a lot from here, but the calzone I had just I was disappointed. there was hardly thunder meat in it and the broth was hard tile 0 taste of it all. I want to eat more. money wasted"
