"We were in the past many paintings for dinner and Sunday dinner here, and it was always very good. sad to say something has changed. we had a nice starter, but our roast was not at all pleasant. the bubbly pork was served with...un scratched, sharp and hairy skin. the bark was overtaken and there was no possibility as we would have cooked it. (the bark may sound smoky, but that was a food store before. the braids looked like they were cooked and sweated before they were reheated, the broccoli/cauliflower was still hard. that is why we did not stay for dessert. the whole look and the feeling of the place has changed, both with the decor and the atmosphere, it felt more like a kantine than a restaurant, especially in the bar area. there is a lack of professionalism throughout, its not clean and tidy, as it was once, no personal uniform / in reasonable clothing, many young workers with an obvious lack of training. the toilets were either in stock, damaged sitting, worn donating and not as clean as they hope. we were so disappointed that we would not return."

"I popped in for breakfast whilst having a car problem sorted at garage next door. There were 4 ladies serving but one of them probably the boss was screeching at the top of her voice for the whole half an hour I was there. She shrieked at the staff and the customers, on the phone and even when singing along to the radio. The other staff and customers looked shell shocked. I don’t think she knows just how loud she is. It was 8am and a group of local workmen were waiting for sandwiched outside. As I left one smiled and mentioned ‘she’d give you a migraine’. Someone needs to tell her that she will drive customers away! The food itself was cheap and pretty ok. The portion was large (large breakfast) but the tea wasn’t very hot. The place looked clean but the salt cellar was think with rust and not able to sprinkle salt. It’s what I’d call a ‘greasy spoon’ cafe and au would have given it 4/5 if it hadn’t been for the shrike behind the counter. She was cheerful enough but honestly she gave me a headache. That’s the only reason I would not go back which is a shame as I like this type of cafe normally."

"My wife and I had lunch here on Sat 4/2/2018 very good selection of hot and cold food plenty of staff to bring food to your table we just had a sandwich each it came with either salad or chips included we like a week black tea so instead of serving from the tea pot we were brought a mug of hot water and a tea bag how thoughtful was that we were able to make our tea as we liked it very impressed."

"We have been ordering food from them for about 2 years. The delivery of food is brilliant, shame about the actual food now. Majority of the orders are wrong. Not 1 week doesn't go when we don't have to complain. Prices are too high. Know it's inflation but just a simple salad box is like £3.00. It's disgusting. Last week the jacket potatoes were simply yuk. Must have used old potatoes. Not ordering food from them anymore."

"Good choice of food. Lovely cocktails made by Sophie. Friendly staff but a strange atmosphere. The place feels like a canteen trying to be a restaurant. Shame as food is good."
