"We decided to eat here as we had time to kill while in the international terminal. We were seated at the end of the bar(where there is a pillar blocking the view of the rest of the bar). Therefore, we were kind of sitting out...of sight of the bartenders and it felt like we were forgotten about as we probably sat for 15 minutes before being acknowledged of any kind. I saw many employees pass by us, including the bartender, without making eye contact. I even saw employees on their phones in the front of house. Finally the bartender acknowledged us but said he would be back by in a minute. A few minutes later he greeted us. We asked to change the channel to hockey and he wasn’t sure he could change the tv’s in front of us, so he offered to move us down the bar to see the tv’s that were already playing the game. This was better because we were in eyesight of the bartenders. He apologized to us about the wait for him to come over, and we were ready to order. They had a few local beers which were great. They also had a few local wines which were also great. We had the cobb salad (large and delicious) and the poutine (smaller but delicious). We did have to ask the bartender for silverware and napkins as our food came and we had none. He was able to joke about how he was dropping the ball on us and the service. But after that we has attentive, friendly, and tried to make up for it. We felt like our experience improved by the end of the meal. Our flight ended up getting delayed by many hours so we ended up coming back for dinner as well. We sat in the same place and had the same bartender. This time the service was better and he was still friendly. We ordered the roast beef sandwich (perfect size and delicious) and the burger (large and good). We also tried a different local beer and wine (also great again). It was airport prices but it was good food. We did go right before closing time and it felt as though the manager was trying to rush everyone out. Overall we enjoyed our meals here and it was a great way to kill some time before flights while watching some sports."

"White Spot was the first restaurant I can remember my parents taking me to. The drive-in with the trays that stretched across the width of the car were fascinating to me as a kid. Or could it have been that the kids meal was served...in a paper formed Pirate ship. As a teen, I would frequent WS with with my friends and enjoy the fantastic flavor of their secret Triple O sauce. Every time I now come back to visit family in Vancouver, a get together at WS is a must. The food is still fantastic, and the menu items that I remember in the past have been maintained, but also enhanced to appeal to a broader spectrum of palates. Sure, Vancouver has a bazillion cuisine options, but each WS experience to me is like the first bite experience of the food critic from the movie Ratatouille. You won't be disappointed."

"This is an excellent bakery and the owner is a Christian baker. He's a really nice guy although I couldn't believe Elmo was his real name ? It's really embarrassing to see all these people gang up on him because he doesn't take cash. He's really shorthanded and swaps between baking and serving customers. Having to sanitize his hands after every sale will really slow down service. He had to use touchless payments until he could hire additional staff. I digress. He has some of the best croissants with unique flavors. Definitely the best in Port Moody and PoCo area. Caveat, there's no eating in or seating space, you buy and go. Hopefully he earns enough to expand his space."

"I had just left a meeting and was starving. I had been craving a good donair for a while and passed by Chicago Subs. I decided to give it a go. I arrived during the lunch rush and there was a line up of around 6 or 7 men in their work wear. I was the only woman in the place, other than the female helping to prep the food. I ordered a Chicken Donair to go, intending to eat it when I arrived back to the office. Let me just say, that Donair didn't make it past 5 minutes. I would have taken a photo, but I ate it so quickly that all that was left was a few drips of sauce and dirty napkins in my lap. It was delicious! The chicken was tender, with bits of crispy edge, and seasoned with an aromatic, garlicky seasoning. There was just the right amount of veg and finely chopped shoestring style lettuce with tzatziki. If you get a chance, try this place. I intend to return to try other items on the menu. If you have a date, I would not recommend this because you will have garlic breath for the rest of the day! Also, if you're in a hurry, avoid the lunch rush. I waited for around 15-20 minutes all said. But it was definitely worth it!"

"A colleague of mine said you must try this place if you go to Vancouver. Well, he was right! It was awesomely good. I missed them twice at the conference I was attending. So then I had to find them before I left. It was worth the hunt. It is amazing what the internet allows you to do. They provide the truck's location daily. The service was good and the food was yummy and satisfying. It was lushious and comforting. It was also savory, filling, yet light. They even had one of my favorite, Orange Fanta. We stood in the rain for this dish and boy was I gad I did. See the restaurant or food truck if you are in town."

"Whenever we are in Richmond, we make sure to visit Green Lemongrass. And so we did this time around. It is a mom& pa restaurant that really warms our hearts and stomachs. Their menu include Vietnamese starters, main dishes and soups. All made from fresh ingredients and lots of love. I just adore and admire their pho. They offer a few kinds and I have tasted almost all of them by now. The one we had yesterday was superb!! Deep layers of taste, tender rare meat, fresh herbs!!!! It is only getting better with every visit. The service was friendly snd pleasant. The cooking: superb. Waiting impatiently for our next visit there!!"
