"Several years after driving past this cafe, my husband finally remembered he wanted to bring me here for a brekkie. So this Sunday morning, here we are. Initial thoughts on walking in was....its a wee bit small and could be a smidge noisy (for me). BUT.....hold the line! There is also a cosy room at the rear filled with glorious sun rays this particular morning. This room is delightful with art on the walls that you can purchase. And beautifully painted dining tables in different moods. Little eccentricities like cat face coasters, a chubby chooken, and terrarium, to name a few. The ladies looking after us are 'naturally friendly ' and professional. The menu is scrumptious, and it was a little difficult to decide. We both chose something different from what we normally would go for, and we were not disappointed. Everything about this wee gem is fabulous, and I look forward to our revisit."

"If you can’t handle the cooking, don’t sell hot food. We waited for literally min, asked for our meal after min, the buns of burgers came with “filled mark”, but stone cold. Than they change to one with no gill mark “microwaved bun”....The cheese on the burger wasn’t melted (or hadn’t been melted As far as we can see everyone all the hot food are waiting for ages. If you want to have anything here I suggest you only buy the crisps and cold drink."

"Nice atmosphere and lovely cakes. Also hotdogs were good. Vegan Freakshake was disappointing, did not taste of chocolate and was room temperature, even though it was meant to have ice cream in it."

"We had a lovely stay at the Gallivant over the weekend and we enjoyed the complete package. The rooms are beautifully designed and the garden is just delightful. The selection of food and wine is absolutely amazing, we discovered some local English wines. The breakfast was by far the highlight! We will definitely visit again. Rooms: 5 Service: 4"

"I have booked a table for Sunday dinner as I have read good reviews about this place. it is located in a beautiful village and the restaurant offers a beautiful view. her Sunday menu is limited, there is not much to choose. my man and I shared a bruschetta to start with it. we both ordered the gay, it was nice and service is also great."

"We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again."
