"Great place for breakfast and lunch. The food is all homemade like you would in your own kitchen, just someone else's cooking it for you. Great staff and atmosphere but very busy and slow on weekends. During the week no problem getting seated but they can still improve the kitchen time. Good enough to wait for."

"We're not fond of the in-house dining experience. The main problem is that the place is very cramped, so we typically just order pickup or delivery. The pasta dishes we've tried have been okay and filling, but nothing to write home about. The cheese and garlic sticks are usually kind of dry. My husband and I continue going back for the greek pizza. It's by our favorite pizza to date; very flavourful kind of like a grilled greek salad (black olives, spinach, feta cheese, creamy greek dressing, tomatos) served on warm bread. It serves well fresh, cold or reheated. That being said, the smaller size pizzas have always end up undercooked and doughy in the centre, so make sure if you're going to get it, you only order the extra large."

"I have a difficult time to write this review because I had a nice breakfast at Perfect Thyming, two days before. After we begged my husband how wonderful breakfast was, we went yesterday and it was a sheer disappointment. We often eat breakfast, my favorite meal of the day. Breakfast at Perfect Thyming is not cheap, yet expensive, $9.99 for 2 eggs, wonderful homefries, eggs, toast and coffee. it's a $1,00 extra for rye bread, that's a little weird. We were literally greeted by the most rude and uninterested waitress of all time. I asked if we could sit somewhere and she rolled her eyes and grunted. The same waitress once served us coffee) and we ordered our breakfast. Our waiting for our food was about 50 minutes. Once arrived, the toast was cold, with a large slit of unmelted margerine and 3 pieces of tasteless cardboard like peameal bacon the rest was good.) We had to ask and try to take the attention for a refill of coffee and no one came to the table to see how we did my guess that they knew that things were bad and did not want to hear or acknowledge it.) If you pay our bill. the same rude waitress arranged us through, no confirmation and what is strange..she did the whole transaction of the day with just one word. throughout the process, including wait for us! My husband and I are in the service industry and we often recommend people in restaurants. Sometimes one can overlook one thing, but yesterday the meal had to overlook too many obstacles. I can't recommend this restaurant. Next time we'll be closer to home."

"I have been dining at Matty O’Shea’s many times since moving to Smith Falls. They have great deals on Thursday for date night. In the last two months, we went 3 times. The first two times, I ordered a burger on Gluten Free bun and fries. No problem and food was good. The bun was from a local store in Perth which I recognized. Third trip, I was eating my same order (mostly because burgers are the only GF option) and halfway through I realized I was sick already and noticed that the bun was NOT the same bun that I had been served the previous two times. It was a white regular bun. The server came over and agreed it was NOT the Gf bun, took it back to kitchen but kitchen staff said it was. I informed them that the two previous times I had been, they served the Purest buns from Perth (which is multigrain) and this bun is absolutely not GF and it’s white. The server confirmed that they had NOT changed the GF buns but continued to assert that the kitchen said it’s a Gf one. Now, the reality is that the bun was obviously not gluten free and instead of simply apologizing and acknowledging the error, they gaslighted me into trying to say it was gluten free. As a someone with Celiac’s, my body reacts IMMEDIATELY when someone isn’t GF so I knew it wasn’t. I know mistakes happen and that’s OK, but just own up to it and apologize. They continued to argue with me even as I had to run out of the restaurant to get sick. Just wish they had more compassion. If someone had a peanut allergy and went into anaphylactic shock, you wouldn’t argue and say “nope it was peanut free!” Please be cautious if you are celiac eating here."
