"Sunrise is more of a in house pantry/canteen for Ajay Guest House , on whose rooftop it is located. I guess it is not by design but by the virtue of it being so hard to locate. Up a flight of stairs from Maharana Mahal Ghat , through a dark and dirty corridor , one reaches Ajay Guest House / Palace on the step. Then again some more steps up from in front of the reception you reach this elusive eatery .<br>
I happened to eat here because I was staying on premises at Ajay Guest House. Housed in a wire cage to protect visitors from the monkey menace , they also have an open area facing the mighty Ganges . <br>
The food served her , including North Indian and the so called continental and the obligatory chow mein :) , is defiantly no great shakes , tasting like any other road side eatery. I just once ordered a veg sandwich , which was a soggy toasty sandwich stuffed with Julians of cabbages and carrots , served very un appetisingly. Henceforth on my numerous visits here I...

"While I explored caffes near dashaswemede ghat, I came to this amazing place, me and my friend decided to try it. had to reach a lot too foot for this caffe, and this is a place that is always filled with out. people can enjoy the cool brise of ganges. they have a caffe in a flood and in the upper floor. they are famous for their cozy arrangements, organic bread, jam. Now, when it comes to eating, veg sandwich and filter coffee has not agreed so much to me. eating was a bit over good and little under big. the staff is very friendly and cordial. must be eaten in the North Indian cuisine in the vase for all who get tired. overall the experience was beautiful. .read more"

"This little cafe and shop was a real find. Located right at the entrance of the renowned Asi Ghat , this tiny cafe consists of a cpl of rooms on the ground floor and a bamboo enclosed terrace area. One would have thought that they would have kept the fencing low , to enable a view of the hustle bustle around but once you sit down here you realise the value of this high fencing. It converts this space into an oasis of tranquility in that maddening surroundings. The seating on the terrace is a mixture of traditional wooden chairs and some plastic ones around wooden tables , each of which has a candle , floating in a bowl full of water sprinkled with fresh rose petals and the entire ambiance here is sublime. <br>
The young , well presented servers are quite efficient and genuinely friendly , not the fake kinds you encounter at most touristy places in this city , they truly add to the ambiance of the place. <br>
My initial order was just for a large cup of Americano...

"Recently while visiting Varanasi we stayed at the lovely Surya - Kaiser Palace. We had a few of our meals at Canton Royale, all of which were most enjoyable. The menu is extensive and great care has been put into including options which are Gluten free. We tried the Bengali Fish Sandwich and the Eggplant Falafel Burger which were delicious. The portions were huge! Soft big buns filled with hot patties and topped with cheese, served with a big basket of fries. Perfect with a chilled beer on a warm afternoon. On another occasion we tried the Bhutta Methi Palak and the Dal Fry along with Fish Tikka for starters. Probably the favourite meal of our stay.<br>

Also must try the many salad and soup options. The mulligatawny and pumpkin soups are heavenly. <br>

The staff was warm and efficient. They don't have roomali roti on the menu but when we requested them they specially made some for us! Now that's what you call five star treatment.<br>
