"Was looking for somewhere good to eat before going to a concert in Liverpool ! Checked a few places and found “Oktopus” Read reviews which all gave it great write ups, majority were 4/5 stars ! So booked a table ! Got there, place itself...was rustic and quite cosy and staff were very nice and very helpful !!! (Can’t fault staff at all, they were brilliant !!!!! BUT then came the food ! Sorry but this was where it all went downhill ! With the exception of a plate of carrots ! We had bream that was totally tasteless, artichoke that was, well i’m not to sure, but had a lot better, and lamb, that was like eating a rubber (texture and taste) left without having a dessert ! So spent £77 between two of us not the dearest I’ll admit and left as hungry as I was when I went in and far from satisfied !! Maybe it was an off night ? I don’t know ? But I do know I won’t be visiting again !! The 1 star was literally for the staff !"
