"Whilst travelling through France, this was our first stop from St.Malo. We were staying at the hotel and the menus and restaurant looked good so we never bothered to find anywhere else locally. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very good, so we could only sit inside,...but the huge fire was welcoming and brightened the place being so gloomy out. We were given a warm welcome by the waiting staff, shown to a table by a window in a very busy room. We were immediately given menus and wine list, closely followed by a plate of bread and pâté. Apperatif orders were taken as well and we were left just the right amount of time for menu perusal and decision making. Once our order was taken, we were served an amusee bouche and a basket of fresh rustic or artisan bread. The food was a culinary delight of local produce and of that grown on the premises. Local speciality dishes were favoured and this proved very tasty, especially the dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant (we had breakfast too which was equally enjoyable) but be prepared to work from French only menus (thank goodness for IPhones). Cannot praise the staff enough for making this an enjoyable experience."

"We were a table of four with different dishes and everyone was conquered by his choice. Nothing to say about the quality and choice of ingredients and cooking. That was great. The wine chosen with the advice of the boss was wonderful, the service and humor of the boss brings a little more in the evening. I just have a great concern that we went to join friends to take a drink and we think about it, if we ate in a well dressed and frankly clothes and we return with this smell of food it is really not top I think there's a big job to do there are breathable hoods efficient and quiet. If I'm supposed to have another outfit for dinner, it's complicated. That's why four stars."
