"9/7/2022 I decided to check out the new food truck in Lara on my way to the football and very happy that I did. The fried chicken was a tasty, flavoursome and crunchy vessel for the gravy that we all know and love!! Serving size was very generous and I finished the meal with a smile from ear to ear. The only problem with the food truck is that it isn't parked in my front yard!!!! Love your work : 3 years ago Chick'n Ranch has never let me down. It is the place where dreams come true. You will not find a better place in Geelong for chips and gravy."

"Part of Geelong's hipster led revival, The Workers Club dishes up American style bbq that ticks all the boxes if you're after something hearty, unfussy and delicious. Located in an pub/live music venue we stumbled in here early one Saturday looking for a quick bite before heading to the theatre. The friendly waiter took us through the menu of American bbq favourites and we followed his recommendation of the smokehouse for 2 sharing platter that consisted of two chef choices of meat, two of our choices, coleslaw, pickles, chips and dinner roles. We doubled up on the chef's choice of jerk chicken and also enjoyed brisket and lamb ribs. Its a big portion and could easily serve three people. Everything was finger lickin good - the slightly pickled slaw cuts through the smokey marinated meat, which was tender and tasty. My favourite was the brisket, which just melted in the mouth and was especially good when accompanied by the bourbon flavoured spicy sauce that was part of a selection of condiments at the table. The chips were very good too - although I must say the dinner roll seemed a bit redundant given what was on offer. Next time I might build my own meal so I can try the chicken wings or the sausage accompanied by sides such as the bean and corn salad, potato salad, corn on the cob,and macaroni and cheese bites (?). There is also the intriguingly named Armadillo egg - a whole jalapeno stuffed with two cheeses and then wrapped in sausage meat. You might need to go for a jog after that one."

"@Catchonyarra You are fantastic! I ordered one of her steak sandwiches and I was not disappointed. When we entered, they were all super friendly, which feels us well! My friend ordered a beef burger and commented that it was cooked a bit over, but otherwise nice. Chips were standard, but the salad was honest a waste of money. The taste was good, but it cost $ 4.50 for such a small serve! We, when we visit Geelong again, will be there again :)"

"Lunch time, outdoor and indoor seating available surcharge for public holiday).<br br/>Dark meat main, two pieces plus a couple of pickles and a side dish of choice. The chicken was very juicy and super crispy. The turnip greens had chicken pieces in it. <br br/>Chicken poppers, on the specials board, juicy and nicely coated bites with a lightly spicy sauce.<br br/>Potato salad, served cold. Was an ok side dish.<br br/>Overall nice meal. This southern chicken style was very similar to Belle's Hot Chicken."

"We stayed at the Novotel on the Esplanade last night and it was a really pleasant evening.I want to just relax, have a couple of drinks in a nice restaurant so to the Waterfront it was and it was very pleasant.We had the tapas again which was delightful and not over filling, the wine was lovely and the staff have gone from being good but a little bit all over the place to being very good and very disciplined and attentive.We were very happy with the meal and the service."

"Hands down the best Mexican in Geelong. Ain't no doubt about it. I must say I've been visiting Mojo's on a more regular basis than I'd like to admit!! It truly is such a lovely chill environment (even when they're chockaz). The entrees are all superb-cannot fault them. The soft taco options are so delicious & GF tortillas that taste next level (say whaaaaattt)!!! Mains are fairly hearty if the tacos aren't enough to sustain one amigo. As for dessert...well you HAVE to get the Mojo's loco peanut butter milkshake. Service is always exceptional & Maisy where have you been? Come back. You are superb. That is all"
