"Casatis review I was in a good mood walking into casatis. It was my friend joshies birthday. The inside of casatis feels like the Hyatt regency, and j love the Hyatt regency. Like the regency, casatis is upscale but not so upscale as you feel out of place wearing a sweater and black jeans. Table for 10. White tablecloth. Menu is what you would expect for an Italian restaurant, pizza and pasta. I like to stare at the menu for 15 minutes and not make up my mind until the waiter is standing above me. I was between the gnocchi and the max and cheese. I chose the Mac. It comes out in the little black rectangle thingy that you make banana bread in, and I thought that was a lovely touch. I was worried about ordering Mac and cheese because often it is really creamy with no other texture, and I get bored after a few bites. But! This max and cheese had a CRISPY top adding a key textural component to the dish. It was lovely. To be honest though, I was jealous I did not order the gnocchi. It looked so creamy and sublime. My friends who ordered it were sitting at the complete other side of the table, so I didn’t even have the chance to get one bite : However! All was redeemed with the cake. I have no idea what flavor it was, but I will just call it “the good cake”. The good cake was good. And the ice cream in the side looked like vanilla, but was in fact cinnamon! What a nice little spicy kick to my post dinner sweets. I am often disappointed with Italian restaurants. It’s the default and there is always either a flavor or a texture that’s just underwhelming. Casatis is not this restaurant. Casatis is a winner "
