"Disclaimer: didn’t get a chance to try the food so this review is purely based on the service. Walked in super excited to try this place but felt utterly uncomfortable in the (lack of) service I was given. It was our first time coming in and it was pretty obvious as we walked in, stood at the front waiting to be seen. The two members of staff were talking to eachother at the back and to make it easier for them, I mimed ‘should we just sit at any table’ to which they nodded. No menu was on the table so our heads were spinning trying to figure out how it works. It was pretty obvious we needed service. We got their attention and asked for a menu and got a dismissive ‘order at the bar’ response. At the bar, we were (un)welcomed by a staffs back. They must have noticed us at the corner of their eye and whilst they had their backs turned said ‘2secs’. Unprofessional and unwelcoming."

"Stopped off for a pit stop. Haven't been here for years. I think it used to be called something else. My brother treated me to a meal, and my 10oz steak was beautifully succulent, tender, and moist. I highly recommend this establishment for good food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating."

"Really good vegan options and it’s a great place to go to with a real bar feel. They brew their own beers some of which are vegan staff is able to advise. I’ve had the southern fried chicken burger and also a falafel burger (special for the match days) both of which were really good and come with fries. We’ve also had the battered pickles which were good nice crispy batter. Would definitely recommend I’ll certainly be back myself to try the other bits on the menu"

"I am Italian myself and I’ve never tasted food as good and similar to real Italian food. Fabio the manager and Daniele the chef were both exceptional, top customer service, coming back here all the time. Top Italian restaurant, worth the price too"

"The food here is outstanding and all homemade. You are always greeted with a smile by the lovely Inma who asks about your family and how you have been. The deli has been in the area for over 20 years and is always busy. Grab a seat if you can! They also do lovely coffee and homemade deserts. I believe they have just started catering for events and parties etc so maybe worth a call. Food that you should try: The Garlic Chicken baguette! 10/10. The homemade meatballs 101/10 and the lasagne. The Paella is incredible. Don't stop there, have a look at the food which is fresh everyday and enjoy. You can also buy the ingredients they use to make the food in the deli. All good value and a full belly for less than £7 including a drink! A must on your list to visit!"

"The Discovery is the latest addition to the Knife Fork Food brand and takes its place alongside companyâs other outlets, namely The Conway in Pontcanna, The Pilot in Penarth and The Old Swan Inn in Llantwit Major. Anyone familiar with The Discoveryâs siblings will be immediately at home as the blackboard menu concept has been continued here along with a simpler lunch menu served between and every day except Sunday. As the blackboard menu can change frequently it even has its own Tumblr blog here . The ever changing chalkboard menu I wasnât familiar with the Discovery before I attended the soft launch but itâs obvious the amount of renovation work that has gone on inside. Thereâs a large airy bar area and a nicely appointed restaurant area. Part of the Discovery’s Restaurant Area As I was attending the soft launch (basically a dry run to help the kitchen and front of house smooth out any issues before the paying customers arrive) it wouldnât be fair to write this up"

"Food was spot on, staff helpful and polite. Didn't like all the children making so much noise it was unbearable at the, parents just sitting on their phones while their children running about causing mayhem, felt sorry for the staff having to clean up after the 2 families with uncontrollable children as there was food on floor after being stood on, spilt drinks and while the rude children were running around they crashed into an older gentleman carrying his salad back, I know its not the restaurant fault and was completely the parents fault but it did spoil out meal a little. Well done to the staff for putting up with it."

"I love Clancy's..I should really take my own lunch to work but the falafel wraps are so good, service is always warm and friendly..exactly what you'd expect from vegans. They might be a little slow sometimes but they seem to put a bit of love into everything they do and ive learned to practice a bit of mindfulness in the que while I wait. Always a pleasure, the Daal is fantastic too and the 3 bean chilli is sensational."
