"The second time we have eaten at this restaurant this time for lunch on a very warm day. The setting is really lovely, looking out over the hills towards Grasse. The food was quite good. One of our party had the lunchtime deal of...the plat du jour plus a glass of wine and a café gourmand (coffee with a few small desserts), and that seemed by far the best value at €25. The others had the rather expensive main courses or dearer menu, which were fine, but having the plat du jour as part of the €38 menu did not seem to be great value as it was somewhere between microscopic and just small. Very nice, but seemed a very ungenerous portion. It seems a little unreasonable with the pricing that no sides came with anything so except for the abundant but slightly wooden bread rolls you would have to order separate fries, for example. Wines were nice and did not seem exorbitantly priced. Service was brisk they were quite keen to get the amuse bouche soup (30ml of nondescript cream apparently with paprika) off the table so that they could get the food coming. I tried to ask for a pre lunch drink but got my included rosé put in front of me instead and was never asked if I would like another glass of wine with my main course. So overall it was a nice enough experience enough good food but it felt a bit ungenerous."
