"I was looking for a lunch spot in the area and my parents wanted ramen. A comb through my bookmarks showed me Manichi Ramen, recommended by a co-worker, and it did not disappoint. We (party of four) got there on July 4th at 11:45ish and were seated immediately. There was probably one other table dining there and we were far enough away from them, which I appreciated. I guess the trick to dining in without crowds is to come on a holiday. We started with the karaage, and you can't really go wrong with that. It came out piping hot, crispy, and flavorful. We also got an order of the Garlic Butter Shrimp Gyoza, which seemed to be one of the more popular gyozas. I thought it was only okay. When the menu said garlic butter, I was expecting North Shore garlic shrimp vibes. But sadly, this was not that. Instead, it was more Trader Joe's gyoza vibes with a bunch of scallion and garlic paste on top. Luckily, the ramen was much better. After I had the curry nikutama over at Marugame Udon, I guess I was on a curry kick because I ended up ordering the creamy curry ramen here and I loved it. The broth was rich and flavorful but not TOO rich. The noodles were also cooked perfectly. Dad had the Volcano Tonkatsu ramen (too spicy for me, but he enjoyed it), and Mom and Hubby both had some variations of the miso (also great, but nothing unique). Overall, everything was pretty great. I liked that they had non-ramen options, such as donburi and udon. So if you have someone in your party who isn't really feeling ramen, there is something for them too. The other gyozas sound interesting too but after the garlic shrimp, I'm a bit skeptical. But that's not enough to stop me from coming back for some more ramen. There was also some special that caught my eye with curry/tomato/rice/meat, I don't really remember but they already got me there."

"I cannot say enough good things about this place. Talk about bomb quality food cooking in huge portions. Don't take me lightly when I say huge portions. This is family style and they mean it. There's plenty of every dish to go around. The prices, once you see the portions, are very reasonable. Wether it's the garlic chicken, the works fried rice, any of the salads, the pork chops, the list just goes on, it's all amazingly delicious. The service is great too. They are Johnny on the spot from checking in on you to water refills. This place is roomy. Tons of seating. They follow strict COVID protocol requiring vax card for all guests and mask while not seated and eating/drinking. We love frequenting Side Street and get the same quality service at both of them."

"We ate here with our kids and had a nice meal. Children had a buffet for them that worked out great and. Ore high-end restaurants should obey this call. $ 15 apiece, but lots of options kids love, plus desserts and a drink. I had the swordfish which was a little over the top and tasteless. My wife had the fillet that was served over a zucchini and pumpkin tomato vegetable which really didn't go very well with it. Read reviews and told page of Russell sprouts got roasted but they arrived steamed and tasteless again. All in the best part of the meal was our excellent waiter. We ate at the Pacific Grille the night before and the food was much tastier."

"Was very surprised there were no people at the opening of dinner hour 5:00pm. We were the first and only people for quite a while. I considered this very mysterious because it was Memorial Day weekend. True, there may 've been a lot of people BBQ ing at home since the weather was warm and beautiful, but TBD...Hawaii is located in a hotel; albeit not a large hotel, but even then.... Vikram Garg, the former executive chef left a few months ago to start his own restaurant, and currently, there is no permanent chef. Perhaps that may 've been a major reason. Also, currently, there is only a Bar Lounge menu consisting of small plates no entrees. The small plates we ordered, the Maine Crab Cakes and Prime Skirt Steak were more on the salty side, but were cooked well. The Garlic Furikake fries could 've used more furikake. However, all in all, the food was good. The cocktails were also nice. The Manager, Julie, came by to ask how we were doing and our server, James, rated 5/5 for service, attentiveness, friendliness and efficiency. Julie said they would probably have a permanent chef and new menu before September. I look forward to it."
