"The word “trattoria” in Italian translates “an informal Italian-Stylish dining place with neighbourhood feeling and the intention to feel customers as being part of the family”. “Amici” in Italian means “Friends”. Trattoria Amici offers proportionate portions of both. We visited this surprising ice cream, next to the Hotel Beverly Terrace on the corner Doheny Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills on two ocestions within a week of each visit. Our first trip was so incredible, we had to visit the restaurant again before we write this review. As we suspected, the service, the kitchen and attention to detail were once again outstanding. Red cloth napkins and bright white tablecloths decorate the different bistro style tables both inside and on the garden terrace. Large wrought iron gates welcome you to the main entrance of the restaurant while you walk along a red carpet. A natural carved hedge surrounds the outdoor dining area and gives it a cozy and intimate feeling, while tiny white two-track lights are overhead and in the surrounding sheet. A walk into this Italian venue could not be more inviting when it tries. We immediately felt like at home when we were in this lovely neighborhood apartment. The owners make a successful attempt to create the perfect setting for an intimate festive experience. As you can see in the photos above, fresh, brightly colored flowers are placed on each table, which can not resist a romantic allure. The flickering votive candles also complement the charming ambience. Trattoria Amici offers a simple $15-corkage building for males who decide to bring their own bottles of wine to enjoy with their meal. I loved the way our waiter used the foil of the wine bottle to suspend his cork! Only a very creative little “extra” that is one of the many things that this great Italian restaurant presents to its customers. The above larger picture is our wine bottle as soon as the cork has been attached via the foil by our clever waiter. The two smaller pictures are from our table after our Vino was opened and poured and Trattoria Amici bread basket accompanied by marinated fresh tomatoes and a Cannellini Bean Dip, which is simply incredibly delicious! Let's start with soup! The delicious creamy Zuppa Di Lenticchie Pinaci is an organic lens soup with fresh julienne spinach. Catchy on the eye as well as the palate, this starter is incredibly savory and enriched with only the best ingredients. It is perfect for a cool evening or feel anytime You look like a delicious bowl with goodness! Another special soup offer was the Artichoke Puree soup above... This starter was incredible tasting and every bite contained the taste of artichoke. Very delicious! If you love Chicken Pamesan... I really mean LOVE the court, you must have it in Trattoria Amici! The Parmigiana Classica Di Pollo is a slightly baked paillard “parmigiana” with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. My husband loved the way the cook served this dish. The chicken is very thin, unlike other versions we enjoyed. It was a nice change with all expected taste and savory tomato sauce that could be desired. I enjoyed the Polleto Al Mattone Alla Fiamma, which is the version of half a chicken that is brewed with wild herbs and garlic, then served with hearty potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The chicken was tender, moist and well prepared. I finished the whole thing that leaves nothing on my plate! The cook was friendly enough to prepare a tasting of her calf sauce for my husband. This lucious bowl of the heavenly Bolognese convinced my husband, the Fatuccine Alla Bolognese Di Vetello (top right photo). With his homemade Fliessuccine and the old-fashioned veal sauce “Bolognese”, a satisfied smile crossed the face of my husband. A very good sign as it is quite critical for most kitchens we experience. I especially enjoyed the Lasagne Alla Piedmontese Di Tacchinella above. This homemade lasagna with a turkey ragu and tomato sauce was tasteful, tasteful and delightful at once. Did we mention how amazing Trattoria Amici is tomato sauce? In a word, it's completely skrumbling! Above was the grilled Dover Sole with seasonal vegetables and top capers a tasty and light choice and was one of the specialties for the evening. The grilled Lobster apple salad (top and bottom) was refreshing and perfect if you want something full, light and taste. For Dessert we chose two Sorbet selections. The Coconut Sorbet is offered in a genuine coconut shell! We loved this presentation! (Another “small thing” that makes such a difference in your own gastronomy in this restaurant! This sorbet is large enough to divide between two people, and the sweet anulent taste will be amazing when you try this chilled dessert. The powdered sugar and grated coconut on top was also a nice touch. In the following, the Peach Sorbet is served in a frozen hollowed fresh peach, which is then garnished with a frozen leaf of the fruit. Another brilliant presentation from the kitchen of Trattoria Amici! Another nice touch at Trattoria Amici is the freshly baked chocolate chip cookie plate, which is delivered immediately to your table to enjoy. These milkings of molten milk chocolate and sweet biscuits are dipped at the top with more chocolate and garnished with a chip of powder sugar. Just delicious! These reminded me of the baking of cookies as a child and brought back wonderful memories many years ago. No matter which attractive options from the menu you choose, you will not go wrong. In fact, you will feel a little as if you have gedified at a cozy food in Italy, and you will want to leave your experience over and over again! ESTABLISHMENT DECOR: Intimate indoor and garden terrace. Romantic and worthy of a medal for the extraordinary ambience! FOOD DRINK: Excellent, authentic, memorable kitchen that will make you more. SERVICE STAFF: Our server, Jason, was exceptional, both times we were in Trattoria Amici dined. Unmatched customer service, friendly demeanor, sincere personal service and incredible attention to detail. PREISWERT: We agree with the price class to this wonderful Italian cuisine. Cheap prices for delicious authentic Italian cuisine! CORKAGE FEE: $15 per bottle. CONTACT INFO: Telephone: (310 858-0271, Website: [here link] PARKING: Parking is available along the fence opposite the restaurant and with the Hotel Valet. INSGESAMT BILL: At our first visit on Friday night we ordered a glass of Cabernet, an Arnold Palmer, the Zuppa Di Lenticchie, the Chicken Parmigiana, the Lasagne Alla Piedmontese and the Coconut Sorbet for a total of $75.79 (including taxes). Our recent visit included a cork bottle from Pinot Noir, which we have collected for a $15-corkage fee, as well as the Fatuccine Alla Bolognese, the Polletto Al Mattone Alla Fiamma and the Peach Sorbet for a total of $66.78 (including taxes). Both phenomenal experiences worth the splurge!"
