"This was probably the worst restaurant experience I've had in Dublin. When I arrived there was no booking for a table in which we had to wait, drinks took minutes to arrive every order, my friend ordered a flatbread pizza which came without Chorizo despite it being in the description. When this was brought to managements attention. the manager persisted to take out his mobile phone turn on his light and scan the pizza up and down to make sure my friend was not in fact lying. Not only that but at we were handed a bill and told we needed to pay as the venue was turning into a club. At about teenagers came upstairs and began pulling tables together to make one long table of seats, which left many diners around them finishing their meals uncomfortable. As we paid the bar man apologised, but at this point it was too late. I wouldn't recommend Lughnasa to anyone of my friends and I was truly disappointed in the whole experience"

"Just home from a beautiful mothers day lunch. I know mothers day can be the busiest day of the year but the atmosphere was really calm and all the staff were friendly and efficient! We had the mozzarella and goats cheese salads as starters. My mum absolutely loved the goats cheese mousse. And the mozzarella was amazing. Such high quality cheeses. I had the juiciest burger for my main and my mum had the haddock and chips. Again, beautiful, and the attention to detail in the presentation was incredible! Love the little pots for sauces! I had the chocolate pudding for dessert. Really moist and the pistachio crumb was delicious! Even though i was 'full ' I ate every bit! And my mum lord her apple crumble! Finished it all off with cappuccinos. Absolutely perfect lunch. Hadn 't been in about 2 years, but will definitely be hitting the beer garden all summer and trying all those lovely gins I spied behind the counter! good work Ashtons! You 've gained a new regular!"

"I had given my mum a voucher for a champagne afternoon tea here. It was such a treat and would highly recommend it. The service is literally out of this world. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We started with a huge selection of herbal teas and coffee. From there we were treated to a mix of sandwiches, then came the cakes and then the scones. All of which were delicious. There was so much food we left stuffed. Best afternoon tea in Dublin by far."
