"We came here for my friend's birthday a week ago. His court was good, but I'm still over the pasta court I got during the day. The taste profile was complex and free. I honestly can't wait to go through Ames again so I can eat here again. I'd die a happy person if I could have that broccoli rake pata again. Our server (which was very pleasant) suggested squeezing some lemon over the pasta and it honestly brought all the flavors together and enlightened the dish immensely. Whatever she advises, listen! I'm sorry I didn't get her name. The restaurant itself is beautiful and they have a breakfast/bakery/exception switch on one side and dining area on the other. Both are aesthetically pleasing. We were sitting on the window right away. Desserts were just a little too sweet for me, but my friend liked it and it was his birthday so that it all counts????? I can't wait to go back and try something else!"

"Go ahead and stop in. We almost missed it driving by, even with gps directions. Choosing out of hundreds of nearby restaurants during ISU move in day, we chose this and I’m glad we did. It’s a little pricey but the quality is great. Their wine list included some great choices. They do have small plates but that equals room for dessert so after we both had the gnocchi, we ordered a tiramisu. The tiramisu is one of the best I’ve had and is clearly made in house."

"One of our family’s favorite spots when visiting Ames. This latest visit was a special treat after graduation festivities. We called ahead and we were able to get a seat quickly. They reserved a table for us and we were greeted so warmly when we arrived. The place was very busy but the manager and crew were attentive and kind. The food here is consistently delicious. It is always served hot by friendly wait staff. I highly recommend the steak sandwich served with a salad and house made dressing. Yum!!!"

"Got 2 pizzas during our daughters move into ISU and the pizzas are very good. The thin crust was not soggy and had the correct amount of sauce and cheese. Pepperoni was nicely crisped a little bit with some browning of the cheese. The other pizza was the BBQ Chicken Bacon ranch on their thicker crust. It was also very good but a bit heavier than I was in the mood for. (2) 14' pizza wit a 2-Liter was almost $40. A bit steep but I'd go back for the thin crust."

"We took our family there for dinner on Easter Sunday. our waitress was very friendly and helpful. a family member ordered a steak sandwich and demanded that it is ready to do moderately hard. it came to her as very rare. our waitress gave her the opportunity to cook her to a desired stage or order a completely new meal. very helpful and attractive young ladies! we enjoyed our experience in the olde main!"
