"My wife and I make the drive from Atlanta every year for our anniversary dinner. The food, service and ambiance is always great, but this year was the best meal ever!! The apps (pimento cheese french onion) dip were great. We shared the strozzapreti and it was terrific. The grilled cobia didn't disappoint, but the chuck roast (yes, chuck roast) was one of the best entrees I've had in years. Finished the night with the chocolate cremeux. If you like chocolate, you shouldn't miss this dessert. If you don't like chocolate, you should order it anyway. It was amazing! Great night as always. See you again in one year (unless I can sneak in another visit)."

"I want to shout out the team and I wanna shout out the chef who made my anniversary and amazing experience. All I know is this is the first chef table event that they hosted for me and my wife and it was hands-down flat out amazing. Chef mad a beef Wellington and it was so good that my take home leftovers were crispy and delicious on the puff pastry around the Wellington"

"The food was perfect, service as well. Only off-putting thing was the dirty smell in the foyer. Smelled like molded mop bucket water. But they could have just cleaned something. But the lasagna was a 10 along with that pre dinner bread and oil!!"

"Carrabba’s in Athens did not disappoint! The food was delicious and hot. The drinks were made well. It did take 35 minutes to get a table, but it was a busy Friday night. They had no problem making changes to a menu item for our plant-based diet. Mackenzie was great and attentive."

"This historic inn has recently been beautifully restored, the location on the Hudson riverfront (where they operate an outdoor dining area called The River Grill during the late spring fall months) is wonderful, both the tavern and the dining area provide terrific ambience, the folks are friendly, and the food delicious and magnificently prepared. We're relatively local and, because it's a tad pricey for us (though generally worth it), we don't visit frequently. But we're always satisfied when we do."

"Love the hotel; would never stay different when you visit Athens. Service was great! Room was great! Beautiful landscape design and outdoor pool and terraces. Dinner might have been better...Menu and food are not as good as before, but servers and staff were excellent."

"First and foremost, The Pine decor, ambience, location and food presentation are fantastic but the flavor of most of the food (I ordered) left a lot to be desired. I had the Crab Cakes to start with, and to be honest they were the best thing I had all night! They were HUGE! As in tons of crab meat and were nicely cooked with great flavor and crunch, even as they were incredibly thick. The peanut sauce under it added to the complexity of the flavor profile and concluded what was my favorite dish of the evening. The bartender made me a delicious cocktail next, a mixture of Reposado Tequila, lime juice and soda water my version of a margarita. She did a fantastic job making it and it tasted as if I 'd made it myself. Pimento Cheese Appetizer was next on the agenda, it had great A Presentation and a decent flavor profile. The sweetness of the balsamic reduction overpowered, what I thought the flavor of the pimento cheese should have taken mainstage, the namesake of the plate. Made for a fantastic picture though!! My final dish of the evening was the Hand Rolled pasta special Fusilli Pasta with Chicken, Okra and Butternut Squash and a Alfredo sauce to bring it together. While it sounded like it Bursts with flavor on the plate description from the waitress, It was very bland IMO. I was a little late getting there and felt like the waitress rushed my dinner due to me being one of the lone patrons in the restaurant. I was probably asked at least 7 8 times was I ready to order and I like to take my time choosing which dish I 'll have on the evening. I like to give every restaurant at least two tries because you never know what influenced the outcome of your dinner on any given night and I 'll go back for lunch here in the near future to see if it was just me or a off night for the kitchen......."
