"Beautiful oldie worldie pub, romantic when they were on a date. the food was excellent, we both ordered fillet steak, that was a 10oz..it only melted in her mouth we both said it was the best steak we ever had. the cheesecake for dessert, which was made to house, as the best I ever had. the personal was very friendly and could not do enough for us, the only mistake we had, it was cold inside. the heating was up, but was not much to keep us warm. we will definitely go back, but will wear warmer clothes."

"Visited the twisted oak this afternoon for a anniversary meal as we came last year and find everything satisfactory today were we surprised how it seems to have gone down hill everywere looked bare and tiered young barmaid showed us to our table and said...I'll be back to take your order she came back minutes later apologising saying there was only her on duty and bar was busy she said manager should have there but he/ she wasn't barmaid run off her feet when we eventually got our meal which was steak pie and vegetables the veg was raw carrots still had tops on as in hadnt top and tailed them think chef as watched to many cookery programmes all very bland soggy pastry tasteless gravy will definitely not be returning and will not recommend this meal drinks cost didn't eat mine total waste of money ruined our day as it was a anniversary meal no refund was suggested even part refund would have been Nice"

"I've used this Chinese for years even when they changed owners and the food wasn't great, but today I ordered food for me and my girls, presentation was awful and the food was so bad it had to go in the bin, rice was either not cooked or reheated as it was hard the curry was slop with lumps of fat and huge slices of onion, when I phoned all I got was oh sorry we have new chief haha, no what can we do to put it right, terrible customer service, terrible food and prices have shot up too."

"Great eating, attentive staff and great ambiente. the service is given with a smile, for which they do not pay against it, but the half price pizza and pasta on Sundays and Tuesday night is exceptional worth and in contrast to some places of service is still amazing. can not recommend enough"

"I use mandarin house pretty regularly, it has an extensive menu with a handful of bits and pieces that you don’t see elsewhere such as Japanese udon. I’ve tried quite a few different things on the menu, and generally enjoyed most of it. Recommend the udon and beef in honey spicy sauce."

"What fantastic food we were served on New year's eve night at the Devonshire. Been many times but they exceeded all expectations. All courses were fabulous, maybe a little large, but our appetite isn't as good as our younger days. The entertainment was also top notch, faultless. We committed ourselves to a house party for bringing in the new year which was a huge mistake, recommend this night to everyone 10/10."
