"Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was very tasty but you did have to wait a long time between courses so maybe they need more staff in the kitchen. Overall tasty food and very reasonable priced but spoilt it buy the very long wait between starter and main course"

"We seriously cannot praise the lovely Staff at the newly taken over Kings Head enough after visiting here last week. They were so warm and welcoming as was the log fire which created a cosy atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for both of...the lovely girls serving us. They easily accommodated our needs with a smile. The food was an absolute delight and cooked to perfection by a Chef who really knew his onions! We started with Chicken Gougons and the Oriental Pork Belly, both dishes tantalising our taste buds in readiness for our main course. I chose the Fish and Chips which were triple cooked and delicious. The batter which coated the succulent white haddock was light and crispy, exactly how I like it and the salad accompanying my meal was seasoned and dressed perfectly. Thank you Chef. My Husband chose the Pork Belly which was a melt in the mouth delight with the crispiest of crackling and fresh vegetables to accompany it. We opted to skip dessert and ordered a Coffee which was served with a lovely homemade shortbread biscuit. An unexpected but very nice touch. Eating in such a relaxing and friendly environment enhanced the enjoyment of such a superb lunch and we can't wait to visit here again. We would like to take this opportunity to wish the new Proprietors every success and would highly recommend anyone to book a meal here soon. You will not be disappointed."

"Really lovely venue and friendly waiting staff, although a little muddled at times. Very mediocre roast beef, roast potatoes not great. Ordered cauliflower cheese as extra, and then apart from one carrot on my plate, the only other vegetable that came out was boiled cauliflower! Would probably return as such a nice pub, just not order the roast."

"Stay with friends in the village at this weekend and had such a fantastic time in the green man. it is so clear to see how much the new renters take care of the experience of the customer. eating is homemade, with very generous portions. there is a good selection of drinks with good delicious beer and great wine, especially the local toppesfield bacchus. the pub is clean and well kept. the absolute jewel must be the beautiful beer garden, which has a breathtaking view of the landscape and a large area for children, walking around and playing. huge congratulations to the new management team so beautiful to see friendly faces behind the bar! "
