"I've visited a lot of vegetarian restaurants along the years. This one serves very good food but for a price that's over what I would be comfortable spending as a regular (which I'd gladly be as it's close to my work). Let's face it. Vegetarian food is usually cheaper to supply but here that's not reflected very well. I feel the venue piggybacks on the über-trendy yoga lifestyle, and it is the only place in 50 km radius to serve other than "let's erase the meat protein and so you have a vegetarian meal" options. Worth a visit? Yes. One has to try it for oneself to determine the value."

"Yesterday I picked up 2 dinners for 7 at Fisherman Palace. Also, garlic shrimp with broccoli, shrimp with mixed vegetables, as well as Szechuan Spicy Mixed Vegetables, and Kung Pao Bean Curd for two vegetarian grandkids. My family had a birthday banquet that night.Everything was beautifully wrapped up for taking out, and the food was, without exception, delicious!The Fisherman Palace cook s ? are something special. The premises could use some sprucing up to be worthy of them, but the food is beyond reproach. I don't live in Carleton Place but made the trip just for this. Highest possible recommendation from me!"

"Had lunch there yesterday. The best lunch I've had all year. The waitress was excellent. I had mussels with a terrific slightly spicy sauce. Delightful. My companions had the Italian sandwich which was large and tasty and it came with fries that were crisp and enjoyable. We ate outside looking out over the waterfall and river. This restaurant is a good experience."

"The food was awful, BLT had no bacon, the tomatoes were spongey and the coleslaw was dry, basically just shredded cabbage and carrots with no dressing. When we showed and told about the missing ingredients there was no compensation offered. All of our orders were awful."

"Went for the 7 course tasting menu and the food was amazing. I’ve done several tasting menus and the price of this place is great for a full tasting menu and the quality is fantastic! Love that they have finally brought some fine dining to the small towns! Will come back for sure!"

"We went for dinner. I had the coconut breaded fish with mashed potatoes. Recommended by my server. It was fantastic. Also, the potatoes where very tasty and the veggies where fresh and not over cooked. My husband got the firecracker burger and fries. Super flavourful, spicy and big party. My daughter got the kids fish and chips. Made in house and awesome (especially for a kids meal). She ate ALL the fish (unheard of for her).Recommend a reservation as there isn't a lot of tables."

"I usually get pizza with my friends on a night of a sleepover and such. Dominios is open late and has a great variety of cheap but good food. The online ordering is fast and fun and lets me know exactly whats going on. Their delivery time is almost always impeccable and when it isn't they make up for it by offering something free. Great pizza for the cheap student!"
