"During our one week holiday in Piedmont we took away pizza from this pizzeria twice. We took pizza al metro: different pizzas in one piece. The one with truffles cream was very special that you may not get in other pizzerias. Dont expect fancy environment, this is rather a place to order and take away. There are however few tables to eat, but u will end up eating next to queue waiting their pizza to take away."

"I was taken for dinner to Torgglkeller by a local resident of the region after I requested that we visit a restaurant showcasing the region. Before we arrived, my host warned me that the atmosphere would be remarkable but that the food would not be he was exactly correct on both counts. Part of this large cellar restaurant is set up in the standard fashion for South Tirol; however, the remarkable part is in a smaller separate room. Here, all of the building materials are old, dark wood and the room is full of the antique wine making tools collected by the former, now deceased, proprietor. The room is spectacular in its Old World charm, right down to the authentic wine casks along one wall which have been converted into quaint, though snug, booths (not recommended for parties larger than two). Strangely, despite the fascination with wine making and wine tasting implements in evidence throughout the restaurant, the wine list is less than inspired (especially for a region so rich in superb wines). The restaurant remains family owned and managed and while the waitstaff was not overly experienced, they were certainly friendly and attentive. Before turning to the food, I have to note that we did not order pizzas, for which the restaurant is apparently well known. Instead, we ordered Schlutzkrapfen (a regional ravioli pan friend in butter and herbs) and beef tagliata (sliced sirloin steak served on fresh arugula with Parmesan cheese). The Schlutzkrpafen were excellent, hand made and served piping hot (as they must be). The tagliata was only average featuring only an undistinguished cut of beef coupled with uninspired preparation. Bottom line: great place to visit, especially for a romantic dinner in a wine cask, but stick to the pizza!"
