"This was not just a great dinner it was a true dining experience. It was especially great to get an amazing 3 course meal for under 32 euros after spending 6 days in incredibly expensive Switzerland. After enjoying a tasty aperitif, the owner gave us the English menu - hand written on 3 small pieces of paper. My wife had a salad with chopped eggs, ham and asparagus. I had a spinach gazpacho with salmon tartar, both were delicious. For entrees I had a pan seared cod with mushrooms and fresh peas - amazing, and my wife had perfectly cooked lamb chops with mushrooms and vegetables. Finally came dessert- and it was possibly the best part of the meal. Mine was pistachio mousse with cherries, cherry sauce and pistachio sorbet. My wife had a dense chocolate cake with nuts, caramel sauce, and ice cream. The presentation, preparation and culinary skill was evident in every bite and the service was excellent. A must stop when in Colmar!"

"We started good with tasty starters, but main dish was disappointing. Beef pie and pork knuckle were much below our expectations, salad on side was dry, with no sauce or olive oil on it. Pie meat was tasteless... Very big plus for service, very friendly and careful."

"We were anticipating a nice and quiet dinner in a pretty and cosy small winstub. We were given a nice table for two in the upper floor. Half of the small space was already "occupied" by a group of about 15 American tourists. The problem was that: a. it was a very noisy and annoying group, and b. the only young lady that was serving the room was practically "absorbed" by this group. As a result we were thrown two menus on our table and we had to wait for twenty minutes to give our orders. Our food arrived without any word or question. We had to ask for salt and pepper, for bread , for water. the water arrived but no glasses on the table. Anyway it has been a rather unpleasant situation and we decided to leave as soon as we ate our food, which by the way was very good, despite our already bad mood."
