"We had a pleasant surprise on our walk to Bolton Abbey today as we noticed the Tea Cottage has new owners and has had a lovely refurbishment. We had stopped going there over the last six months as we felt the previous owners had let it slip and it had gone downhill. This is definitely not the case now. It is very welcoming, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic, the tempting cakes are, freshly baked. (the scones are to die for) and there is a varied lunch menu. Prices are reasonable and the coffee is good too . Everywhere is clean and fresh and the lovely open fire is an added bonus on a cold , frosty day. Of course the seating outside has the best views on the estate but it was lovely to sit in on a cold day. We will definitely be visiting again soon. I wish the new owners the best of luck in their new venture."

"What an absolute gem to find on our stay in Ingleton. The food is absolutely amazing, packed with fresh flavour. I am coeliac so need to eat gluten free and my order was checked with the kitchen as it was off the specials board to ensure it was ok. I had monkfish in a tomato sauce with a choice of three types of gf pasta. My husband had the chorizo and chicken penne off the specials board and he declared it delicious. The sweets are gorgeous, not your usual bought in rubbish. Allergens are shown on the main menu. We live an hours drive away and would happily drive through to eat here again. Booking is advised as its only small inside and with food this good it will be very sought after. The service from arriving to leaving was first class, friendly and helpful. As a coeliac I often feel like staff feel you are a nuisance but not here, I felt very safe and well looked after. Thank you."

"Really nice chippy in the centre of town. Food was freshly cooked to order. Staff were really nice and friendly. Chips were the best I've had in ages and the haddock was lovely. Reasonably priced too. Just to echo what one of the other reviewers said about being suitable for vegetarians, a man came in while I was waiting and asked about that and the woman behind the counter confirmed chips and fish/meat are cooked separately and in vegetable oil. Really nice, will be back next time I'm in the area."
