"Our family has several meetings for special birthdays and family excursions from over 20 guests. We are planning our Christmas party with the family this year. Friendly, friendly staff, always attentive and therefore we always come back. We have two family members in a wheelchair, and the Avantis Restaurant in East Peoria is wheelchair accessible, and chair fits nicely under table at the end. Beautiful menu also with a variety of elements. Our popular appetizers are the mozzarella sticks and mushrooms. Your garden salads are beautiful and crisp. Our favorite entries are the homemade Lasagna, Tortellini with meat sauce, and the baked cot with Italian vegetables. If you only want a cold sandwich, you cannot beat Avanti's Famous Gondola (lean ham/salami/American cheese/ and crisp salad). Our popular hot sandwich is the roasted ham cheese or my favorite of roasted turkey Swiss cheese. My favorite appetizer is her fried mushrooms with Ranch Dressing. So, Yummy! Many menu options, and one of our favorite Italian restaurant with our family to eat. Love her bread... always fresh and tasty. I have over 30 years experience with this beautiful restaurant and I am never dissatisfied with the food or service. We had our Christmas party on the 15th. December 2018, and this year we went with Avantis Buffet. Oh my stars it was fantastic!!!! I think we have a winner where we have future family Christmas meetings.... everything was perfect, and our little Elf waitress has done a wonderful job. The food consisted of spaghetti with meat or Alfredo sauce, the best I have ever tasted, salad, Italian vegetables, gondola sandwiches and their famous bread on the tables. We all had a good time, and with our very big family it was nice not to eat!"

"First time coming into this EP location. No other customers were in the restaurant so it was quiet. The employees were all very nice and the service was fast. Food was great- sorry I forgot to take a pic, we took it home and I forgot. We got the family feast which was Spaghetti, garlic beat, loaf of bread and a gondola. It was plenty of food for the 4 of us and it tasted really good and was the perfect comfort food."

"My fiancée and I recently came here to our anniversary after having an excellent meal here with friends a few months ago. Joe didn't disappoint. The hostess sat immediately in a comfortable stand and, almost immediately, our waitress came and went with us through the menu, described articles we asked, and took our drinks orders an espresso Martini for me and a blue lavendar for my fiancé. Both were refreshing and delicious. Later we ordered a dirty Martini and a Prosecco again, both wonderful. For appetizers we ordered both Calamari and Parmesan Black Garlic Truffle Fries with spicy aioli, and for dinner ordered my engaged Fatuccini Alfredo with chicken, and I ordered Pasta DuCale shrimps, scallops, crabs, mussels and Calamari in a lemon tomato broth sown with thin spaghetti. Both meals were excellently cooked, and perfectly seasoned, and each ingredient was on its own a rare performance. You can taste everything separately in the dishes, but enjoy the harmony they all created. It was one of the best meals we had in some time. For Dessert we shared the expertly designed Tiramisu. Sooooo good! It was a big piece and it took us both to work for a while, but we killed it! Peoria, Illinois can escape to the many fine restaurants here, and Joe is one of those places. Evenings are busy at Joe's, so I would suggest reservations. You're gonna love Joe's!"

"My experience at this place was terrible! I was in town for a funeral. After I go to the city of the drive 8 hours and to the hotel my family and I decided to go to chili! the server jackie was very unprofessional. she has told us four times that she would take our drink order again. she personally sat down a family and waited her before us and we waited about 13 minutes before jackie decided to take our drink order. While she took our drink order, she cut us off to go back to the table, she was more concerned with(the ppl she personally took to her table). fast forward. when we got our food, my salat was hot, eating my family was cold as ice and they got fajitas! Even a rice of my family was burned. we spend $145 for our food for very bad service! never again! and jackie should be fired. very poor customer service and not professional"
