"The waiters were very handsome, but don't let them charm you into over-ordering The food was OK; the grilled lamb could have had been cut better, and the Cretan pasta with less butter and smaller portions. Raki was a nice touch. Good value place, even as a solo diner."

"Lively outdoor restaurant in the market where you can watch people which is half the fun. The food is really good, traditional Greek fare, and the staff are friendly and talkative. We had a great dinner! Will go back!"

"Everything was so delicious and tasteful. I tried for the first time in my life goat meat and never tried before I thought it was stinking. but they made it so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. if they are on kreta, they must go this restaurant and enjoy the traditional cuisine"

"We were so frustrated with this Knossos temple that we looked for a quiet place to have a refreshing drink. Pasiphae is a restaurant and not a coffee shop. We also all got something to drink. We ordered a freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juice. In my opinion it was mixed together from various direct juices from the Tetra Pak and at just over 5.00 euros it was very well paid for. You can sit outside under a sun roof and it's quite nice there. But also right next to the street. And I saw that they had a large fenced-in area for the children. They were also happy to take advantage of the offer and were able to play there with a good selection of toys within sight of their parents."

"Insane pizza. calzone is a must. the lasagna are from this world, pure sin (wood stove baked, they do not burn their back as I do; ... I suggest tagsliatele mafioso for the pasta lovers or a spaghetti marinara with a garnel salad. decent wee, warm atmosphere and above all the staff is ready to do everything they ask them with eating, any blows on or off, thick/thin crust, halal decisions all they want. I love this diamond of a family pizzaria. the right thing."

"An authentic local find. The name suggests it’s a grill and as there is a pool you might think it’d be trashy it is not! We didn’t eat but peeking at other customers’ tables, the food looked great and menu not too meat centric (suitable for veggies) Lovely cocktails and non alcoholic options. Reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I’d recommend going toward the start of your trip as the staff find time to talk to you, if you want advice about the area. Some other good restaurants in the area get so busy the staff can’t stop!"

"Super tasty pizza we had enjoyed in this italian restaurant! We had ordered a large sized one and there was available the option to be prepared half as margarita and the other half as a different flavored pizza ! Nice, polite and rapid service. Keep on the good job!"

"Visited for a casual dinner...service is kind and helpful, although they should not use it s our only available table if you haven 't booked since you can realise it s not the last available from the next customers. The style of the place is great. I like the vibes. The food was below average..and doesn 't match the style . What was weird is that olive oil will come at an extra cost. I know about the new rule but still not accepted to pay extra for olive oil on crete.for these prices should be included"

"I spent a lovely week on Crete and stayed at Amazona Apartments (same owner), so it was easiest for me to just walk out of my apartment and into Mezedofolia. But it being close was not the only reason I came to eat here almost every night: the restaurant/bar is nicely furnished and you can just feel that a lot of love was put into making this a place where you can feel right at home. Also the owners Maria and Felix add to the charm, they are lovely people that make you feel welcome whenever you show up, Maria is a true artist, her beautiful pictures decorate the whole place and she even has a little gallery in the restaurant. The food is great, it is prepared fresh and you can taste that! The fish is amazing and so is the Moussaka and of course the Meze (Greek Tapas), also do try the Seafood Pasta! I will definitely be back to Agia Pelagia and Mezedofolia! I already miss Maria and Felix!"
