"Booked in advance as we were a party of 16. All fine on the phone, reservation made no problem. When we arrived, we'd been split up (half on a table upstairs, half on a table downstairs) as they'd received more bookings since I phoned and they'd split us up so they could fit more tables in.... Not a good start. Waiter was very friendly and helpful (owner considerably less so on the subject of the reservation) and most of the food was tasty and well cooked. However, my husband and I ordered the cote de boeuf for 2 (medium to rare) and when it turned up it was pretty much inedible - over cooked to the point of no return and a really chewy piece of meat. We complained and were told that it had been rare when it had left the kitchen (it must have taken a detour via Australia before it reached our table) and that we'd eaten it all (we only managed to choke down half and then sent the rest back) so it must have been fine and we were clearly complaining about nothing. Customer service is not something that the owner of this restaurant understands. After much arguing, it was begrudgingly agreed that we would only have to pay half the cost of the beef. I would not go back."

"Despite the name, there are only a few vegetarian options and all vegetarian options involve lots of cheese... The veggie burger minus cheese is just a bun with chopped mushrooms and pepper in and the pasta is made with egg so isn't an option"

"This is the hidden gem of the resort. The food is amazing and the Calzone is the best I have ever tasted. Best to arrive at 2pm after the lunch rush. It's good value for a mountain restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. Situated at the bottom of some epic forest runs. Blue and red. The Roche lift takes you back to the heart of the resort."

"Been coming to the Alps for 30 years Up the mountain, kind of got used to rip off prices and miserable serviceThis place today broke the moldWe ate upstairs in the restaurant (there's self revive downstairs - which was busy,we were the only people having waiter service!)Food and wine were great - fondue Savoyarde and steak hache for the kidsFranks copious carafes of the house red and found room for some decent desserts - my cafe gourmande was top notchBut it was the friendly and charming service which just lifted the place to another levelMy absolute compliments Think the bill came to 110 euros with tip which is also a lot cheaper than most places this week too"
