"Taste buds blown away by wafu ramen. At first I thought it tasted weird because it had this "fishy" taste but after a few more slurps I was hooked by its unique taste. The base is a mix of pork, beef and fish broths that works perfectly with each other. This is now on my top ramen place here in makati!"

"I just had to make a quick stop at Yardstick, a third wave coffee house that has won the hearts of many, not just Makati workers and residents. I am seldom in the area because of its high density which always causes traffic chaos. <br> <br> The place is very spacious, high ceiling with a modern industrial look. Few places in the area could also remind you of a warehouse. Interestingly, the waiters wear casual clothes like regular customers, which might confuse this part. I was when a stranger helped me out of the blue. <br> <br> My friend and I shared 9 ounces. Cafe latte with two teaspoons of muscovado sugar. Their beans were strikingly strong and their natural sweetness still felt very strong. My valid complaint here was temperature. It was pretty cold. Oh and they only have whole milk, what a shame. <br> <br> The purple yam waffle was pretty shocking. The look was pretty instagramable, but its waffle looked nothing like what I was expecting. I thought they'll serve me purple yummy ... <a class="read-more" href="#"> read more </a>"

"Personally, I liked the kutchay dumplings, which are filled with lots of chopped green vegetables and juicy ground pork mixed with Chinese celery and other spices."

"Big big fan of Japanese food! The only downside is that it can be a bit expensive. While it applies to most of the Japanese restaurants I know (except Tokyo Tokyo), Yamazaki is proof that Japanese cuisine can be cheap yet authentic. Yamazaki is a hole in the wall restaurant in Little Tokyo Makati. It looks like a restaurant outside, but when you step inside its doors you will be surprised that the first thing you would see is the grocery store that sells Japanese products. <br> <br> What I like about the hotel is that it serves good Japanese food with huge portions but for a cheaper price. I think it has something to do with the cost of the interior (design of the whole) so it's not as expensive as the others. <br> <br> I love the food and everything about it, but what I don't like is the ambience and other waitresses who are a bit "rude". All in all, everything is more than ok ????"

"We had their best seller hainanese yellow chicken and it was quite bland and not up to par with my expectations (given that it was quite expensive), but thank God for their Cashew Coffee Spare ribs I still managed to enjoy my dining experience. It was the right mix of flavor and was worth the wait and the money."

"Waroeng Coffee is a newly opened coffee shop inside The Collective at Malugay Street, Makati. They serve Asian (Indonesian-Malaysian) cuisine. Mostly are snacks, but there are a few rice meals too The interior is quite simple. I think there are around 6-8 tables, including those outside for customers who smoke I ordered Kaya Toast. This is a popular breakfast toast in Malaysia Singapore. Waroeng's version tasted good. I was given with a huge toast in delicious buttery taste and coconut jam. I paired it with regular-sized Capuccino coffee that was also good. I found the latte art simple but cute I could've given this café a 5, BUT the place was swarmed by HUGE FLIES during my...read more"

"We rented a place nearby and wanted to eat dinner within the area. I suggested to check the Collective and we found Wabi-Sabi. The food that they serve are vegetarian meals.<br> <br> It was indeed a good choice! No guilt noodle soup! I ordered tomyum while my dad had viet pho. My mom and brother had tantanmen. We ordered those three because the others were not available. We also added harumaki for sharing. At first, we just ordered one harumaki until we ordered another and then another one! It was very flavorful and chewy. It's like fried tekamaki. The tomyum is sour, not much of a fan for the veggies that tasted odd but I enjoyed it especially the tofu and other cold cuts. The viet pho was like my tomyum except that it wasn't sour and had different toppings. I like the noodles used for tomyum and viet pho which was chewy. A different noodle compared to that of famous Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The tantanmen is sesame oil based so it's for people who like that kind. Although the noodles were just instant the veggies were fresh.<br> <br> The place was just small but I like their staff. They were very accomodating and friendly. I'll definitely be back for their harumaki!"
